Hello Diary
Been keeping busy, was at work on Wednesday night then finally made it down to my Dads yesterday. Beforehand I went and bought him a load of sweets (Fathers Day gift) from the co-op. They had lots of offers on so I got lots of chocolate/biscuits/crisps/toffees/mints/sweets etc for just over £12 :j. Needless to say I got a few worrying looks from the checkout staff :rotfl:. Now my Dad is quite sensible with that kind of thing and the sweets will last a while, unlike me he can have chocolate and nice things in the house without having to devour them all in one evening. :EasterBun
> me.
My Dad gave me some books to read and I also got my dumbell set out to take home, saves me buying a new set:money:. Also got my uni certificate to send off for the UAE job.
Got home and my friend came round to look at holidays, nothing seemed quite right so we havent yet booked anything. 4-5 hours or looking, we're rubbish! It's turned out OK though as the other girl now wants to go a few weeks later...
Today my dress came :j:j:j, I love it! It's far too long so will have to get it taken up, apart from that it fits perfectly. Size 10 from Jane Norman :j:j:j result! Makes all this diet and exercise stuff worth it!
Also got my Jillian Michaels DVDs, have 8 days of the Shred left then I will start the next ones. Havent been able to get to the gym yet due to time constraints :rotfl:but should be able to go next week (and I will as I have paid for it and WILL NOT WASTE IT).
Back to work tonight for 3 shifts, have a £2 comedy night on Tuesday with some friends, then more nightshifts. Feel so much better to be working lots :rotfl::eek:.
I got that 2 week garnier trial through the post too, I have slight wrinkles so hoping to zap them :rotfl:0 -
Wrinkles, what wrinkles! Have a good weekend lovely X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Morning Diary
I know its the afternoon but I've just woke up post nightshift, am soooo tired.
Had planned to go to the gym but will leave it until tomorrow, will definitely do a Shred though:j----> jumpin jacks
Worked all weekend, back in Wednesday night for two then Sunday night for three. Good to know my mortgage will get paid another month!
I have comedy night tomorrow, only £2 and wont be drinking so will be a cheapie. Getting hair done finally on Wedneday morningusing the Groupon voucher so all paid for. Friday night am going to the cinema with the girls then got snowboarding lesson before work on Sunday.
Also have to fit the gym in, am determined not to lose these day passes but I've just been so busy (and tired).
I'm now into week 5 of my healthy eating/exercise plan, it's going well still though I noticed that whilst on nights I use the majority of my calorie allowance on goodies rather than proper food. Och well
Need to do some glamourising, get a wee eye package sorted out and maybe get nails done. Feeling a bit pale just now due to the nightshift.
Will be back laters to catch up on diaries, have to go so some internet banking. Yikes:eek:0 -
I really need a new lawnmower
ANOTHER ONE!!!
I keep breaking them. Maybe I should try a wee manual one...

one of my friends was an ITU nurse and he said he used to eat lots of crap on nights too
I've not been a nurse but worked in a medical research place for a while (testing on humans not animals!!) and did nights a lot, I found my sense of taste went a bit funny so I tried to make sure I ate really tasty food and ate really well too as I knew my appetite couldn't be relied on, if that makes sense? I'm sure you have been doing it years though so know yourself well!
Glamourising sounds like a good strategy!!0 -
Well had a good wee day so far today.
Got up early and did a few loads of washing so I could hang them out in the 'sun'
Also did the Shred :j:j nice and early so it was over and done with before Jeremy Kyle
I DO NOT WATCH JEREMY KYLE:eek:
Then headed to the gym via the post office to send a few UAE related documents away. Decided to try run 5k on the treadmill and it wasnt too bad:o, a bit trial and erros but I think I've found a comfortable speed for me so will work on improving it. Took me about 36 mins, which for a non-running newbie aint too bad. Did a bit on the cross trainer and rowing machines then went for a swim. Also gave the sauna a go, not sure why but I've never been in a sauna...reminded me of being in central Australia...
Came home, put on MORE washing then went and got my eyes done (brow wax/tint, lash tint) so I look a bit more awake.I hope.
I then got the strimmer out and tried to cut the grass down, such a hard job without a lawnmower.
Just going to have a bite to eat then heading to my friends house, were off to £2 comedy club tonight .
Although work is tiring me out a bit just now I do love how I get soooo much more out of my days off in comparison to when I'm not working and feel too stressed to do anything...
Getting my hair done tomorrow :jthen back to nightshift...0 -
You definately had a full day! Have fun at the comedy club - £2 sounds great!0

Size 10 from Jane Norman must be tiny, probably close to a US size zeroDid you see Jane Norman has gone into administration and lots of units are closing down? I doubt you'll be too bothered especially now that you own the one dress from there you wanted.
Impressed that you go to the gym after shred, that's proper dedicated, like my fitness idol Pippa would doI really need to up my fitness plan, rather than just doing Curves and then crossing exercise off my list.
to lawnmowers and
to groupon hairdresser vouchers.
Hope you enjoy the comedy night, I'm sure you're there right now as I type.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Wee Diary Update
Not much to report. The comedy night was great. It starts with a few new acts and by new I mean BRAND NEW!!! TBH they werent very good but guess everyone has to start somewhere and theyre obviously very nervous etc. After a break tthere was then a few more established acts, one in particular was very funny. The only female there actuallu, she was ace. Then they have the 'headline' act, he was good but I'd seen him before a few months back and his routine hadnt changed much ! All in all for £2 twas a bargain. Unfortunately I was knackered and the only one not drinking due to diet/being skint but meant I managed to get the last bus home rather than forking out for a taxi. The bus journey was a bit rough though, a gang of neds threw a bottle of buckfast through the back window...luckily no-one was hurt. Typical Glasgow...
Got hair highlighted yesterday woohoo, twas with the Groupon voucher. It was pleasant enough but dont htink I'd go back, I def wouldnt pay the 'normal price' quoted on the voucher. Back to work last night, ate too many biscuits ooooops!!! Got up today at 3pm and Shredded. I HAVE 2 DAYS LEFT OF THE SHRED!!! Now just about to get ready then go to work again.
It doesnt look like we are getting to go on holiday after all so I think I may just buy myself some lovely treats with the refund then put some of it towards my overdraft. I'll see.
Sorry if this is a bit rushed...will be back soon
Ooooh haha ETA: got home form comedy night and someone had cut my front grass!!0
