Hahaha, it was sooo funny. I was the one saying Im sure we'll be fine (or something). My friend spoke a whole loada mince they luckily didnt show.
Despite the cancellation we had a very funny, fabulous day.
CL - we will hopefully get refunds, still waiting on official Abu Dhabi stuff x0 -
Thanks but iplayer wouldn't let me watch, it's restricted to use within the UK only. You must be so disappointed, how awful having to get off the plane

Awww youre not missing much! I have put some pics of it up on facebook, its sooo funny. We were laughing about it for ages afterwards as we were caught off guard a bit and didnt think theyd show it as the flight ended up cancelled (we were being asked how we felt about flying on the only flight not cancelled)0

My friend who booked the hotel contacted Thomas Cook last night and they said they will give us a full refund :j. We didnt expect that at all. I have applied for refunds for our flights from Ryanair so hopefully we will get something back from that too.
A wee ask...I booked the flights on a credit card (My Mums) as I thought that was best idea incase something went worng! If the money is refunded onto the c card how do we get to it? I know you can withdraw cash from them but dont want to get big charges...any ideas?0 -
great news on the refund!
i think the easiest way would be to just buy something else on the card to use up the refunded amount if that makes sense?
so ask your mum to do her food shopping on it (or something) and she then gives you the cash?
hope that makes sense!0 -
I was thinking that, if we decide to book another hol we could give my Mum the extra to add on0
