Great to hear you are getting there ex-wise!
You said about your debts - did you mean you need another £500 to pay it off or you want to find another £500 a month?
Interested to hear about your big dreams. Been thinking about mine lately as well. So many things I want to do but unfortunately I need money. I'm reading one of Richard Bransons books at the moment though (called screw it lets do it) and his so inspirational. He just gets out there and finds ways of doing the things he wants to do. He does have the money to do what he wants now but he didn't in the begginning, so I think I should take his outlook on life and just get out there with my big dreams!£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

I've not read any of his books, maybe I should give them a go. Just dont want life to pass me by you know?? Yeah just £500 one off would sort me out , I know its not much but I've become lazy and been treating myself with my hard earned cash
.
Seriously CL, I always feel hungry when I see your name :rotfl:0 -
Hi LB,
you have come such a long way! and I think you are really doing just great!
I have read Losing My Virginity by Richard Branson but none of his other stuff. If you would like to read something really inspiring, i can recommend Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela. It's long
but very uplifting and beautifully written.
I am also reading a book called Romancing the Ordinary which is about appreciating the very small things in life and making space for yourself. It is very sensual (in that it encourages to awaken your senses of touch, smell, etc rather than anything else!) but it is really good. It has really helped me take strength from small (and cheap!) things and also to think about what's important in my new life.
£500 isn't so bad if that's all you need to make things a bit easier
and it's understandable that you feel the need to treat yourself a bit while you are low. My extra payments on the harp finish soon so I will be re-jigging my budgets so that there is a little bit more left for me. Nothing extravagant but it's important
I have found it very hard getting used to doing all the coupley stuff on my own. Not quite brave enough to go for a pint on my own yet but am getting there. I quite like being at the cinema on my own
apart from the lack of Orange Wednesday buddy!!! but for now I will pay the extra if I have to and I don't begrudge it

I second what little-h said too...:T
I used to think that I couldn't go to the pics on my own but when OH and I were there recently there was loads of single people just sat watching a film...lets face it when you go and get your seat you could be waiting for someone else...and then the lights go out and big deal your sat there on your own...but who really cares?? usually other people are too absorbed in the film to notice and bonus you get to watch the film that you want to
Zumba for wii.... didn't know that there was such a thing...have heard loads about it...but then would I use it??? seen as though wii fit hasn't been used once last month let alone 3 times a week
Enjoy the sunshine everyone

BF - Zumba for the Wii has just been released
I have applied for a job in Dubai, not sure if I'm up to the standards. I have a great CV tbh but its all words on a bit of paper at the end of the day.

Sorry about making you hungry, lol. I do love the cake!

If you can ebay some stuff or do some mystery shops/surveys or something you should be able to get that £500 no sweat.
Come across this quote on someone else's diary earlier, thought I would give you the link to it incase you hadn't seen it, thought it was fitting to you with what you have been going through recently:

For the first time in ages I have had time to catch up on your diary, littleboots ( I can't sleep) and you are just on one of those "plateau" phases - where everything has been changing quickly and now it is just sinking in that you are starting a new chapter of your life. It will pass, with a bit of self help - you will see.
I am pleased that you are slowly getting over the ex (me too) and becoming a "whole" again rather than a "half" - time is such a great healer - cliche, or not
I have often been to the cinema on my own - sometimes because I wanted to enjoy a film solo or perhaps no one else was free and I agree there are often lots of single people there, very common.
There is a lot of underage drinking where I am as well, and also a number of eastern europeans that seem to congregate in a local park and sit and drink cheap booze all day, every day. The ground is littered with bottles and bags every morning - horrid. It reminds me of my childhood in South London when we had a "doss house" in the area and the guys used to sit in the streets drinking all day before the doors opened at 6pm.
Anyway, back to you - be positive about the Dubai dream - it could just happen, and if not - there will be other doors opening, I know.
