scorching here too - we are camping this weekend
Poor dog is really struggling but at least we have a tiled hall for her to lie on and we are not taking her camping as she would get heat stroke if it stays like this.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Morning, hey Mallygirl, we're not taking the pooch either. He's going on his own little holiday to the FIL n MIL's. He gets spoilt there. It's nice taking the dog away for a short break (not in this weather), but a week is a bit long.
So I've checked the account this morning and my payment from yesterday has shown up now :j
Yesterday was a spendy afternoon, I collected DS1 new uniform, he has 1 yr left and they've decided to change the logo's etc. So £28 spent on new jumper etc. The 1 bonus is tho that I already have half of his uniform sorted and they haven't even broken up yet! Oh and DS2 will be able to use it when he goes to that school.
I took both the boys to buy some new flip flops for the holiday, both of the have gone up a couple of sizes since our holiday in October... maybe I should open a shoe shop. Mine are averaging new shoes/trainers every 3 months.
Of course I didn't manage to get everything done on my list... probably won't happen this afternoon either. I've got my riding lesson on one the hottest days of the year - wow I'm gonna be sweating later!

My DD starts senior school in September so it is a full new set of uniform plus hockey stick, tennis racket, science goggles, all sorts. Thankfully it is all a bit cheaper than her current school and some can come from M&S in a back to school promo as there is bound to be one. We went through a stage of a half shoe size growth every 5 weeks at one point but she seems to have stalled at a very skinny 5.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Well had a fantastic holiday, we were away in the heatwave week - couldn't of timed it better. It felt just like a plane holiday, I'm so pleased we chose to stay in the UK this year.
:j 2nd £500 OP made on 1st August, as well as the normal payment. I'm loving seeing the balance online, it stand at 86300. I hate logging on later in the month and see the interest that they've added, so I'm trying not to do that very often. It'll hit the 85's next month. If i carry on like this every other month it'll drop into the next one (i think).
Good news the elec/gas DDebit has dropped down to £77 a month, it was £97 so that was very useful.
This month my aim is to have as many NSD as possible, starting today - 1/26
Also I need to pay the TV licence yearly and cancel DD and make the pay on the 0% card.

:j 3rd OP made on 1st September. Making the payment when you get paid actually works, if it not there you can't spend it!
TV licence DD cancelled and 1 year bought on the 0% cc and dosh kept in the savings acc.
August was quite a low NSDs month and September has been too. Roll on pay day so I can get the 4th OP made :j only 92 to go.
Friday was a longtime coming this week, a very busy week at work.
Wishing everybody a happy warm weekend.

MFW news... I will soon be making the 6th overpayment of £500 squids! On the 1st Dec, that will total £3k not including normal repayments. It might even go down into the next k bracket (well for a few days a least). Happy 6 month aniversaire to our overpayments.
I'm feeling very frugal at the moment, I think with Christmas coming up its even more important. £99 came in today from £co, that'll come in handy for pressies. I have one card stoozing away atm whilst the dosh is earning and half decent interest rate at the bank.
We've had a leak in the bathroom, in fact we think its been leaking for 6 an half years:eek: obviously very slowly. The tiles had to be smashed and all four of us are using the bath, which is such a pain and waste of time. I'm lucky I've been making it into work on time, most mornings I've been falling back to sleep in the bath. Once it's fully dried out we'll get the tiles stuck back on and then we're saving up for a new bathroom. I think I may start looking for suits in the sales... I change my mind like the wind tho, last week I was dreaming of a new car. I'm glad I woke up from that one!

I've made 2 op's since my last post, both £500 on the first of Feb n March. All Mse'ing going well... it's just inset in us both now. I'm looking forward to getting the veg plot up and running soon. I know most people have already started but I've not been well but in a couple of weeks should be fighting fit!
I've got lots of renewals coming up, phone/s, all insurances so at least I'll have time while I'm not at work to look into everything and make sure I get the best deals. It's all budgeted for so no nasty surprises.
Next month will take the mortgage into the 70's :j looking forward to that.

Been keeping up the OP at £500 per month, it's very rewarding watching it drop into the 'k' every month. Currently in the 77's :j
The veg plot is up and running, I think at the weekend the first lot of radishes will be ready.
All of the renewals have been done now, and looking forward to a hot and sizzly summer with no paperwork.

Oh forgot to say that we've been running on this mortgage for 11 months now and reduced the term by 2 years and 3 months already. Thats a happy shocked face btw.
