Middle Lane Hoggers

My favourite is what my fireman buddy does, he come up behind them, slams on the blue & two's and leans on the horn. Then overtakes and cuts right across in front into the left hand lane.
The emergency services HATE middle lane drivers!
Glad to know you all went to the same driving school then.
(But at least you accept when the middle lane hogger clips your back end and spins you out, it's your fault for winding him up).0 -
Have you ever had to deal with tramlining? I mean proper tramlining like you get with low profile tyres and modified suspension. It's at a minimum very off-putting and in worst case can be dangerous since you end up swerving around all over the place!
well get your hand off the gear stick and your arm back inside the car and hold the wheel like a man. Tram lining on a lowered car is not that bad you just have to hold the steering wheel
also if you had lowered it properly and alter the pivoting angles of the wishbone, the camber and castor it goes away all the lowering does is upset the geometry so if you set it all back with a bit of welding and such like the tramlining goes away0 -

Tramlining? on British roads? don't make me laugh. I've driven an LDV minibus towing a fully laden trailer with no give in the suspension in Poland. They are slowly building dual carriageways, but until a few years ago it was all single carriageway roads, with ruts 4 inches deep, truck tyres widths apart. you just have to keep 2 hands on the wheel and keep focused.0 -
There are very few motorways :rotfl:
correct, i'm about 50 miles from a dual carriageway, and 3 times that to a motorway.
what upsets me is people drivin at 56mph on single carriageways because it's safer than driving at 60, and people who jump on the brakes and slow down below 60 when they see a speed camera on a dual carriageway.0 -
Tramlining is a tyre issue, either they're worn or just the wrong tyre's for the cars setup.... Manufacturers spend millions of £ and months of testing to find suitable tyre's for their cars, when you frig with your car and then shove any old tyre on it, your asking for trouble.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Yup, the dual carriageway NSL is 70.... The last thing I need is the tw4t in front slamming on the anchors for a speed camera!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

It would make for a good video though.0 -
As for middle lane morons. Here's a shameless plug for the page I wrote about them.
Very funny site. The 'overtaking' link isn't working though.0 -
Missed that.
Geography not your strong point Lum....:)
Yes, my geography is terrible. I also think that it is a worthwhile endeavour to ensure that a site discussing driving technique can be easily read by a screen reader for the benefit of blind motorists.Very funny site. The 'overtaking' link isn't working though.
Think about that for a minute.0
