  • i dont think it was groupon's fault that the pure smiles website stopped working, they are only a client of groupon's not groupon themselves!
i really dont understand how any website could fail that quickly as they only sold 6,000 kits and if everyone suddenly tried to redeem them at once it should still have been able to cope - i think it far more likely that he has taken down the site and done a runner after all this bad pr.
i think i am going to demand groupon send me an equivalent kit - i dont mind where from i just want what i paid for.

The website was working fine yesterday when I had a look around. I wonder if it is closed down at the moment because of copyright issues, i.e. as observed earlier in the thread the website appeared to have cut and pasted a lot of material from the Hollywood White and smiles4you websites. The website looked quite nice yesterday although it didn't have a contact address, phone number or company registration number on, and I would never buy online without that info.
  • i think everyone who bought one of the vouchers should demand from groupon what they paid for - if that means groupon has to find another psrtner/supplier to send out the kits so be it, after all i paid for a voucher for a teeth whitening kit and that is what i expect.
  • Hi
I too bought this groupon and at 4 o'clock tried to redeem it. I got as far as putting my codes in then when I went to the shopping cart the website crashed. I have emailed Pure-Smiles (no reply as yet) and I have emailed Groupon who have sent a standard response telling me they will reply asap :(:(:(

thats extremely true, this is the first time that ive ever bought anything from groupon and its so off putting when something like this happens, i even did the reccomendation thing :o
If the site isnt back up and i get no reply by tomorrow im going to email them again asking them to do something, im sure there is some law breaking going on.

btw there might have been some problems with the actual website because i went on there at 4pm today and the pages would show a database error but after refreshing a few time the page would load. The only web page that I couldnt get on to was the check out page lol
  • Pure Smiles website no longer has there 'Error 404' message. It now has the following message -
Please know we have your whitening kit and are looking forward to welcome you to our shop. Please accept our apologies for the temporary inconvenience Pure-Smiles
  • still getting 404 error!
  • their message:
Please know we have your whitening kit and are looking forward to welcome you to our shop. Please accept our apologies for the temporary inconvenience Pure-Smiles
isn't even english, they are clearly some form of con artists, i'm insisting groupon refund my money immediately or i'll go straight to the small claims court - i hope others follow suite, just from reading this thread you can see the guy behind this site has stolen website content from at least 3 other websites, is being investigated by the General Dental Council for malpractice (confirmed after a call to the GMC) and clearly has no interest in fulfilling his orders - i'm in two minds about contacting the police - this sort of behaviour is criminal, i dont have £19 that i can throw away, it's a lot of money to many of us.

That's exactly what you got - a voucher.

(sorry; I hope it works out for all - I signed up to groupon about 6 months ago and now just find their emails annoying!)
Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?
