Ask MSE for permission to post and add the appropriate "Signature"“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

Semantics dont matter. just ask one of the admin team to accept you"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
I guess as with most things in life, if you can't help yourself and you decide you need to whiten your teeth. Perhaps good dental hygiene & regular visits to your dentist should be your first port of call... The Pure Smiles site does offer Paypal as a payment option. If you encounter any issue's you could simply dispute the transaction with them to get your money back?0

hey Im sorry to bother you guys but i bought the pure-smiles groupon deal, and now its looking really fishy, plus i think they have took the website down as every time i try to access it theres a 404 error but it could just be really busy and the websites spazzing out. I dont know what to do, how long should i wait before i complain?0

mel071 - i am in the same boat.... any advice?0

I've just emailed Groupon as i too cant access the site and they said:
"This deal proved to be extremely popular and despite all the necessary preparations and adjustments as is customary when facing such a sudden rise in demand, our partners' email inbox may experience congestion in the first couple of days after the deal feature."
they must think i am stupid or something - how can a congested email inbox stop me from seeing the site? Either the company can cope with the demand for their products after a Groupon campaign or they shouldnt be allowed to advertise on their - does anyone know how much much Groupon make out of each sale? This guy sold over 6,000 - thats a lot of money, and it now looks like he's done a runner with our money.0 -
I to have just order this voucher for pure smiles and am having trouble accessing the site again getting an error message 404. I must say to that I have order quite a few thing from the groupon site and have never had a problems it could be just a glich but I have sent groupon an e-mail to let them know about the problem.
Perhaps give it a day or so and see what happens if not chase it up then

Hi All - I'd like to sympathise with your situation.
After joining groupon and getting what seemed to me to be a load of great deals I have now come to realise that as far as Groupon is concerned you really do get what you pay for.
Some girlfriends and I booked a 1 hr massage in a spa by the Savoy, followed by afternoon tea and unlimited use of the steam room and sauna for a wildly reduced price.
We waited for at least an hour after our appointment started to actually receive our massage. The salon, although pictures on the website looked great, was actually incredibly tired and grubby. The lights in the sauna didnt work and there was mould on the walls in the steam room. Our afternoon tea (despite the voucher being advertised next to a picture of cupcakes, finger sandwiches and scones) consisted of one slice of jam roly-poly each and one mug of tea with the teabag still in.
Then, to top it all off, something skuttled accross the floor.... a cockroach.
I was convinced that this could have been a one off, so I then purchased with my sister some eyelash extensions along with a brow shaping and manicure at the Wyndham clinic.
Since purchasing the offer, my sister has received an email saying that a mistake was made - now only the eyelash extensions will be given (although for some reason this is a much better deal!!!). When i try to get through on the phone, I have been told by staff (when they pick up the phone) that a) there is no availability at the moment
and b) there is no waitlist.
Finally I managed to get through to one helpful employee who booked me in for an appointment in March. However I am incredibly disappointed with the whole process in general.
New years resolution? No more Groupon!!!!0 -
to be fair to Groupon i have used them on a number of occasions in the past and have always received what i have paid for, and today when i complained about this Pure Smiles debacle i did get a rapid response from their customer support team. I guess we cant blame Groupon for the ability of one of their clients to maintain a website, and if as it looks like the guy has done a runner i do hope Groupon refund our money immediately or find another company that can fulfil the orders, after all it was Groupon that took my money and i do expect a teeth whitening kit in return.0

that is a load of bull, the company should have been prepared for the extreme rise in demand and have stocked up on those teeth bleachers, i bet they dont even work. Grrr im so angry. and im sure they could have adjusted their website to be able to take a rise in users.
This just shows how unprofessional and incompetent the company actually is, and from the look of the other post on here im guessing that most of their deals are rubbish. Im never using this site again.
i sent them an email about an hour ago and they havnt replied yet
