It's gone up even more since then. I dread to think how much it will be, if I can ever afford to fill it right up again!

Could always get a more eco friendly car than an Audi.

Annoys me when people moan about the price of it at work when they've got a 4x4.
What is pi? Where did it come from?

Well Sarah, maybe on your birthday or at christmas - the rest of the time just put a £10 in and spend your life at Esso !!

Sorry - ur wrong there - an A4 is not a 4x4, it's a bog standard saloon (and driven pretty much between 40 and 60 - part road conditions part economy part green (if driving to work is ever green))

Yep, ditch the Audi, £650 will get you one of those and it will do 75 mpg (ignore the giggles from other motorists).

It will cost you the price of filling your car 8.6 times if my calc is correct.

Though I have been thinking as I sit in traffic doing the school run that a Prius may be a good idea. I have heard of a bloke that converted his to LPG:j

Always amazes me how some parents always drive their kids to school when it would be quicker to walk. They would still drive if fuel was £5 a litre as the thought of walking anywhere horrifies them

It would take me as long to walk to school as it does to drive. But then I'd have to walk home again to get the car to drive past the school again to go to work. And then I'd be late. I suspect that's the case for quite a few parents.
