We have used Haven for years and luckily never experienced caravans like some of you have :eek:

However, went to Devon sands May 2010 and our car was broken into while parked on site, outside our caravan with us asleep inside it! They took our rubbish stereo & sat nav (I know, v stupid to keep it in the glovebox) So much for the security guard on site eh?! We reported it to reception and security who were no use at all. The security bloke said that gangs of kids were coming through the back way doing it. (

Really annoyed went to book this morning and prices have doubled i am going to wait the offer was to book before the 31st Jan but i am going to wait see if i can get it cheaper

We go to Haven parks quite often, but I wouldn't pay the price they charge for their caravans. We go by collecting the tokens from the sun and news of the world so its £9.50 per person. I usually upgrade to a larger size caravan which works out at about £17.50 per person, sometimes you have extra charges on that cost depending on when and where you go but the overrall price has never been more than £100- £120 for our hols. Thats on the 3 or 4 day breaks.

OMG double the price is crazy! glad i'm not the only one who has been annoyed at this scandle! all we want is our 7night break and not for their crazy prices esp as the offer is really non existant only if you book in the 1st 2 weeks of jan

The lady in the travel agent told me to wait and keep checking every night ive been checking on and off this afternoon and the price is always different ..how do they get away with it ive been using codes and going in thourgh different sites as well its all crazy lol

We usually stay in a Prestige or Platinum caravan with Haven but their prices this year are just ridiculous. At the beginning of January we could of booked for around £850 and now it's over £1000. I've gone else where this year. I did my research and we have booked a holiday with Horburne. Their prices are a lot cheaper and their standard of caravan seems much better. They have entertainment, swimming pools, and all the usual facilities but its cheaper. Have a look, they have quite a few different parks, we have booked Horburne Bashley
