Can I also please put a plug in for

It is a scheme from a charity called Practical Action whereby you can buy gifts such as goats, donkeys, cuddly alpacas and much more, with the proceeds helping those people living in desperate conditions in developing countries.
Worth a look too!

We did this last year for my MIL. You receive updates and a lovely picture of your Donkey. She is buying the Donkey Christmas cards this year. They have a great Donkey shop.Think of happiness as a kind of mental gardening.0 -

You can buy all sorts of gifts on here.
Also they do clothes, jewellery and other things that are made by people in third world countries who actually get paid a reasonable amount. The prices are really good too.0 -

Ashli - the reason they take goats from here to Africa is that our goats are breeds which give more milk for the amount of food they eat than the local goats.
I can't seem to find chickens anymore - I keep chickens myself, which is why I would particularly want one
As for finding a goat, I thought you wanted one for christmas dinner as well - was going to suggest the breeder's directory in Country Smallholding magazine!0 -
