Massive meltdown from DS this morning about getting ready for school. Ended up taking him in late:o. Once he calmed a little he gave a big list of problems at school.....noise, lights too bright, no one to play with, no help in pm, no playtime at pm so no time to flap:(.
Got him there and talked to his one to one....DS says he never tells them at school he is having probs as they are not his mummy and he just lkes to tell me.....have told him he must tell them too...he seems to hold it in there then let rip whe he gets home....but then when I speak to them they think he is doing ok in the main...they are getting a false impression:o. Autism team coming to school to see him next week and after emailing his consultant we have an appointment to see her plus behavioural psychologist in Feb:T
Anyhoo aside from that, catching up with washing, cleaning etc and making HM chicken pie for tea (DS fave;)) and some chocolate nests for his snack when he comes in.
I really just want to sit and read my book....after all the meltdown and wrestling with DS I feel exhausted:(
JackieG hugs for tomorrow hun......hope it goes well and take it easy:cool:
Sorry to hear that you have having trouble still. I hope that thing can be done to make things easyer for your lad at school., Mind you just them takeing on bord what you have to say might be a big inprovement.
Good luck with this:):jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Good luck to those with exams today!
Its freezing here again today, had to scrape even more ice off the car this morning. Its supposed to be even colder tomorrow. So just trying to dry the boys thermals at the mo.
Sent OH and boys with pack lunches today, went and bought some buns and potatoes as we've run out. Didn't have time to make any yesterday, as i've been busy all week.
I'm laid up today, well till my knee stops burning.
My knee cap decided to cave in on itself, so me and snips went flying on the icy roads. Luckily the cars slowed down, and some of the other parents helped me up and walked snips into school for me.
I was absolutely (and still am scared), could feel the bone grinding worse than ever. Maybe i'm just being paranoid, i have been since i broke my knee cap last june.
Think were having curry or chilli tonight. The two mysterious bags of frozen stuff are still defrosting. I think i saw a chick pea, but could be anything lol:rotfl:
Going to carry on maybe doing some sewing today. The house is totally wrecked and needs sorting but i just tried and leg tried to cave in again.:(
Sorry to hear about your fall. I hope your knee starts to feel a better soon so a least you can move about a bit better. is there anything they can do long tearm for your knee.?:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Thanks for your concern everyone
Just got back from a&e, the pain just got too bad. OH got back from work early so he took me.
The doc reckons i haven't broken the knee cap again, but he's referred me back to the knee clinic. He reckons there's something not quite right, said they might be something wrong with the cartilage or muscles. Which wouldn't show up on an x-ray.
So i now have a black splint on my leg and another set of crutches for another two weeks.
Cracking just what i need, another two weeks of limping.
Just made chips and sausages for tea, quick easy freezer tea for us tonight.
The chilli should be defrosted for tomorrows tea at least.
Can i have the banoffe pie, haven't had it years, looks vey moreish and yummy!0 -

Evening all
Loulou - that looks so delish!
Bitsy Beans - I've done all the SW/WW and other diets over the years and have come to the conclusion that long term they make the situation worse if you can't stick to eating that way forever! When I started eating more healthily and cutting out the c**p in June 2009 I was bigger than I'd ever been after dieting and then stopping and all the weight and a bit more going back on. So now I have cut out the c**p, eat 3 proper meals a day, if I snack it's on fruit or diet yogurt, but the biggest change is my attitude and relationship with food - I don't want to be fat, I don't want to feel unfit, lethargic and generally not good about me anymore. I do have bad things and celebrate birthdays, Christmas etc, but just don't go mad and get straight back to eating healthily asap. I now feel quite unwell if I eat alot of "bad" food, so prefer not too! It does take willpower but feeling so much better, bright and lively is so good.
Dinner was lovely, everything cleared away now, DW set to come on shortly. DH watching a film, boys reading, quiet night, bliss!

JackieG - good luck for tomorrow, try not to let it worry you, think of all the mischeif we'll get up to on Sat insteadBitsy_Beans wrote: »Flutterby - I have a confession, I am rebelling against the SW dietI am starting to obsess about foods I can have, thinking about them all the time
Not sure I'll be able to stick rigidly to SW as ultimately the depravation will make me fail (and it's not just the sweet stuff it's things like cheese ). Only my second day, how rubbish is that
Ho hum will have to see how things progress.
Bitsy - don't stress it! That said I used to do that everytime I'd re-start SW and then fall off the wagon. But this time round I haven't had a moment like that and I think it's cos I'm very determined and this time I have an end goal in sight (maid of honour at Caribbean wedding next year!). The benefit of SW is that you can eat almost anything, just in moderation! Feel free to ask me any questions (I'm not an expert but I have some knowledge!). Re the cheese thing. I adore cheese, and as I'm veggie it's a huge part of my diet so I struggled with it. But if you do Green days you can have cheese as a HEA and HEB so technically up to 4 portions a day:rotfl:.
Today has flown by (again!), work in morning, uni this afternoon/evening. To be honest I was dreading uni as we are currently learning stuff that I teach my young people so it's soooo boring for mebut we actually had a good day today. The people on the course are so lovely and we made the sessions fun
.
OS wise - WM is on with my clothes for the Brum meet :rotfl:, need to make lunch for tomorrow.
Have a fab evening all
