It's actually great bircham foods, the meat is from the sandringham estate, if you put in either it should come up.

Just had my hair cut in my lunch break at the 'old biddies' hairdressers :D. £18.90 and one of the nicest cuts I've ever had. It's somewhere I never dreamed of going before, but now I'll definately go again. Hadn't had my hair cut in over a year, so as I've had about 4 inches lopped off, I think I may weigh myself tonight :rotfl:

  • Haircuts are my weakness. I have them maybe every other month but they cost about £35 :o

Old biddies hairdressers? Did you go for a blue rinse and rollers then? :rotfl:

  • D'ya know...when I got home from work, DH asked if my workmates had gone mad with the office scissors . I was so not happy. He thought I'd find it funny . So I left him to it with DS6 and went to the pub with the savings I made .

Honestly I think I'm at least 40 years off a blue rinse (and yes they do them in there :D). My mother doesn't even have one and she's in her seventies. Now, a shampoo and set would be nice :rotfl:

  • Morning Rachel

How are you? Just caught up with posts.

Yes I pre plan all of my shopping list costs. Takes an age but it really does help. Normally I do it on spreadhseet but this month I did it on paper however will send you the menu plan and all I do is make my shopping list off there to allow me to make each week's meals. I get all non perishable on pay day and those that can freeze then on weekend i buy the fresh bits i need for coming week. I am lucky that DH is a butcher so I get my meat cheap so my meat for the month costs me apx £25. That would be triple if I bought from butchers/online etc.
Nappies and milk I buy separately as we take turns in buying them and I always have vouchers for money off and DS isn't on as much formula now so the milk cost has halved too.

Have to say how FAB is that at paying so much off OD? How did you manage it - has that been your goal for this month? Well done on fighting NW to get cash back too and then paying it straight out!

    xx

  • Hi Rachel,

Well done on you payments. Thats fantastic news about your overdraft.

I used to go to a salon in town which used to cost about £40 - £50 for a cut and blow dry and the amount of times I came out not happy was unbelievable. Last month I thought I would try out the local hairdresser as I didnt have a lot of money and she made a really good job. I was left gobsmacked when I asked her how much it was and she said 'thats £8.20 please'....................I still cant believe it :rotfl:
Funny thing was, was that I was delighted with the haircut. It wasnt as good a cut but i didnt feel I was being ripped off with the price therefore I was happy. Ended up leaving £5 or so in tips as felt guilty!
