Life begins at the end of 41k debt

  • Hiya

Yes all our debts are joint. DH is pretty pants with money too :o. The OD is in joint names. He used to have an account with Santander, they were awful. We took out a joint loan to pay off his OD. Then he has a seperate loan which paid off his credit cards, and I have 2 loans that are nearly paid off (a year to go).

Basically my entire wage packet goes on our debts, which is a very unpleasant thought. But if we can keep the momemtum up, then that money will be ours in just over 2 years time if not sooner.

    xx

  • Just talking to you as a diary now, nothing debt free to report. I'm going for a CT scan on my brain on Fri morning. This is because I'm an idiot, and had one too many at my xmas works do, then fell flat on my face and cracked my head open. Been suffering with headaches and funny eyes ever since, and it was the week before xmas that it happened. Was told I had concussion and whiplash, but it's gone on too long now.

Also mum is havng a CT scan on her chest 2 hours after me. She had one last Friday on her liver, as the normal ultrasound found something dodgy. She's been waiting to have her gallbladder out but keeps having problems. She's already been told it might be bad news - but how can a doctor tell until they've had all the results - I don't like how they can play with peoples lives like that. My dad died of liver cancer (well bowel cancer that spread to his liver) when I was pregnant with my middle son 13 years ago and I can see exactly what my mum's thinking now. She's seeing the consultant on Monday. I'm not optimistic, but I will be in front of her and the rest of the family.

    Urrrrghhhhhhhhh............ hate life sometimes

Hope its good news for you both.

Many many years ago my dear little brother shut a car door on my head - I had headaches/blurred vision etc for about 2 months - I had a scan and was told I'd bruised my brain (didn't know you could do that - :D) and because it was "enclosed" in a small space could take weeks and weeks to go down.

  • Thanks dawnybabes. Was a bit maudling last night, but I'm OK now.

MIL has taken DS6 out for the day, so I decided to do an inventory of my freezer and cupboards. 2 hours later, here I am :rotfl:

So now I'm going to bore you with my lists (look away now if you don't want to see what a hoarder I am :o).

Why I still feel the need to go shopping on a weekly basis I'll never know. But I need to tackle this food mountain before I shop for anything other than milk, cheese and fresh fruit/veg. Any help with March's meal plan would be appreciated, as that is my next job!!
