Picked up my glasses today – very impressed! For £25 all in, including the test I think that’s a real bargain.

Apparently a Specsavers contact lens check is £20, so I might just go with that.

Make sure they'll release the assessment at that price
  • Hi can anyone tell me where I can get the lenses done on my own frames of glasses that I have?
  • Glasses Direct have emailed a new offer thats even cheaper than the current MSE code.

"...enter code '2FOR19' at checkout for £36 off and free delivery, ... Single vision standard lenses are included, however any additional coatings or thin lens options are chargeable on the free second pair. Offer ends midnight 30th June 2016..."

£19 for two pairs of regular glasses, from a known source, looks good to me.

Thanks very much - went to Specsavers yesterday. I got a free test voucher of the branch website, e.g. here:

    URL removed

and I've ordered some of the £25 all in glasses - will see how they come for a next week.

I was blatantly upfront about being there for a bargain so they didn't really try to upsell me.

Now to find a free contact lenses eye check-up...
I went to the Camden Specsavers store too with the voucher. The most thorough eye test I've ever had. I had the same experience... no upsell, just walked out the door. Got home and ordered two for £20 on Glasses Direct using the MSE voucher code :) Saved over £100... Bargain!
  • Cant go wrong with Glasses Direct
    Used em earlier this year
£35 for 2 pairs with treated lenses :-)

Is there no MSE codes working now?
    I Hate Jobsworths!!!
  • Apologies if this is post is in the wrong place but Mrs HH and myself ordered using MSE codes on speckyfoureyes.com back on the 12th July and still haven't received our orders.
I've called them several times and they've been pretty awful at responding - just a warning to anyone else seduced by their low prices.

Unfortunately/fortunately, depending on perspective, MSE's offers generate a huge response and it's not unusual for there to be delays in smaller companies fulfilling the resultant orders.

This doesn't sound like much of a "deal" to me..?
