Hi everyone
JoJo the idea of individual is lovely. I have to say I would love to receive something like that, something very personal about it, like you care about the person being at the wedding.
Welcome ILoveEoin. I also have no shoes as yet, but did see some lovely ones in Brantano for about £27 so I am hoping to get them next week. I also know what you mean about it not snowing, I've said I don't care if it snows on the day we get married but please not just before, we have guests coming from all over the country so any snow would probably stop them coming. Would make lovely photos though
Where are you getting married ILoveEoin.0 -

ILoveEoin - have you sorted out the registrar/church? You'll need to factor in the fees there too.
Sounds ace so far!
I think I might have found my dress - after months of looking. Sadly, it's way beyond what we wanted to spend, but I am trying to find it preloved etc. It's the Sassi Holford 'Tara' dress. Absolutely gorgeous, but £2300!!!!!!!
We've had our STDs through from Vistaprint - they are pretty cool, and we've distributed a lot by hand (very MSE), only a few to post now!
This Weds mum and I are going to see the venue, and go for a spa day nearby (lush!), and look at outfits for her.
Then the first week in Aug we're meeting caterers and a potential tog, and seeing the ceilidh band, so all those things ought to be sorted by then. Hurrah!
How's everyone else this *fine* morning (ha!)

Hiya:)
soooo jealous, i love a spa day!! but i live in middle of no where so i'll just have roll around in the fields and hope the mud does something for my skin hehe:)
wedding going be at the hotel so fee's are £166 for them to come and do the whole thing:( costs more than my dress but has to be done and trying talk my younger brother it would be a lovely wedding gift to pay for them lol
jojo u seem to have everything arranged and ur wedding sounds lovely:)
isnt this weather horrible? it not doing my happy mood any good lolmarriage is finding that one special person that you can annoy for the rest of your life:)0 -
Sorry to interfere (I am not a Jan 2012 bride...!) but £166 is really good! For the registrars to come to where I am getting married it is nearly £400! I know they can set there own price but still.... I would be really pleased with that!
Have you accounted for giving notice? That's about £70 for both of you set price. (although not sue show it works in Ireland if it's the same etc).:T0 -
Everybody can interfere because i havent a clue what am doing, i dont have my mum's help, no sisters and no married friends. so am a bit lost what i am suppose to do:)
i have already giving notice and it didnt cost me another, women at my local guildhall are really nice and friendly:) i dont have pay anything until i bring in the application form for marriage notice and it £166 and that includes them coming on the day to the hotel. by the sound of things it seem to be a very reasonable price, lucky me:) northern ireland good for something, cheaper wedding:)
only 25 weeks to my big and nervous already, anyone else nervous??:p

Hi ILoveEoin
I'm a bit nervous too, not about getting married (yet!) but about the dress fittings which start next week. ARGHHHHH
If you need any advice, or just someone to whinge to as I don't have anybody else really, feel free to PM me your email and we'll keep in touch that way too.
Vx
PS Just had a look at your venue and it looks lovely. Mine is Nunsmere Hall, Northwich if you want a nosey0 -
Wow, V! Lush venue!
Good luck with dress fittings - I can't wait for mine, but we only ordered the dress a fortnight ago! Might be a while...:rotfl:If at first you don't succeed, then sky-diving isn't for you

It is lovely isn't it. At first it was way out of our price range but the wedding coordinator has been so helpful and, as its a winter wedding, waived the minimum guest / spend so we can afford it YAY!!!!
I'm dreading the fittings, as it's going to be a bespoke dress (far cheaper than any of the off the peg ones I liked lol) I'll have to stand around in a few strips of material for awhile I think. I just hope she's got her heater on
How are your plans coming along Jo?0
