    couldnt care what speed you do really - I'd rather keep my attention on the road then constantly checking on my speedometer , what gets on my nerves is the nob who insists on driving at 40 mph in a 60 limit for no reason, then when they enter a built up area (30mph) they carry on at the same speed - unless there is a speed camera then they brake down to 30. For some reason they seem to brake down to 30 if they are in a 40 mph limit too and pass by a speed camera.

    Absolutely correct.

    As long as the slower driver (or any other driver):

    1) keeps to the lower speed limits (i.e. does 30 max in a 30);
    1a) don't come up my !!!! and flash me having overtaken them on an NSL and now sticking to the limits through a village!!!
    2) makes no attempt to speed up or obstruct a safe overtaking manouvre;
    3) Doesn't drive along slip-roads so slowly as to run the risk of having to stop at the end (lethal);
    4) Maintains good lane discipline, i.e. stays on the left lane unless themselves overtaking;
    5) Doesn't jump out in front of me on a single carriageway and then make no attempt to get up to speed timeously;
    6) indicates appropriately at junctions and roundabouts,

    Then they will get no complaint out of me.

    Unfortunately there is a certain type of driver out there who fails to comply with any of that; thinking it's their god-given right to pull out in front of traffic, mimse along until they slowly reach 38mph, sit in the outside lane of dual carriageways, don't use their indicators at all, sit at 40 everywhere and show a general lack of regard for their surroundings.

    These drivers are far more dangerous than the man who travels at 78mph down the A1 IMHO.

    Wow, what a superb post trully ruined and prolonged by the new motoring furum doubleact, dumb and even dumber.

    I've missed alot of this, by choice, is there something here that suggests or confirms Inactive an active or inactive driving instructor??

    All I can say is I trully hope he didn't/does'nt treat his pupils the bewildered pupils the same way he treats punters on here. Regarding GH I really have no comment in the context of this thread, and yes this ones been reported too.
    I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

    Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

    Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    Wrong again, I am not, nor ever have been a Driving Instructor, do try stick to what you know, which granted isn't very much.

    Where did your thread go yesterday, did MSE deem it inappropriate ?

    Genie, just how many times are going to try to use that quote from a post of mine, even if it nothing directly relevant to the topic in hand, reported yet again, it's getting sad now.
