can we change the subject to "SLIP ROAD STOPPERS" i feel like ploughing into them it just damn right dangerous
followed the elusive honda jazz down the slip road on to the local dual carriage way at 40mph onto a 70mph road. im always ready for jazz's to do the dangerous unexpected thing so i held back noting the the slip road is getting thinner. eye on the jazz thats moving into the duel carriage way quick mirror check to see a lorry but enough room for me and then the jazz has seen the lorry and becuase hes going so dangerously slow has slammed his brakes on meaning me and all the other cars have nearly had a massive accident behind him
and he totally unaware of the carnage he nearly caused. resulting in a load of cars having to pull onto a dual carriage way from stationary and my old beast hasnt got that much acceleration to do this easily
this is why i always give honda huge distances they are dangerous - im yet to find out if its the drivers or perhaps they have bad visabilty ive never driven one0 -

The line at the end means giveway so if you have to stop then so be it.0 -

The number of slow drivers I see going wherever the mood takes them without once checking over their shoulder or their mirrors infuriates me. That's dangerous driving.
lolwut?
What about the fact racing drivers all get to drive in the same direction, without pedestrians, cyclists, children, drivers on their mobile phones or drunk drivers to contend with?
Yet, with all the driving skills in the world, lots of racing drivers get killed or severely injured every year.0 -

True but an experienced driver will adjust his speed accordingly to join in with the flow of traffic without having to stop. That is the purpose of slip roads..If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0 -
hi way code
You MUST NOT stop on the carriageway, hard shoulder, slip road, central reservation or verge except in an emergency, or when told to do so by the police, HA traffic officers in uniform, an emergency sign or by flashing red light signals. Do not stop on the hard shoulder to either make or receive mobile phone calls.
unless its classed as an emergency
agreed that is a silly rule beucase if there was a stream of traffic going at 70 bumper to bumper it implies that you have to either hit them or just go through the undergrowth or hard shoulder0 -

I agree and that's the problem. Nobody leaves gaps, and if there is a gap somewhere, you can be sure that someone else is going to go just in there.0 -

I'm sure a Jazz driver is very experienced and not a 17 year old lad.0 -
I usually find if I match speeds and pull onto a motorway a gap appears.
Not many drivers actually force an accident.0 -
