Like that! (Well, it was the only pink one I could find!)C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0 -
I think that this part of the site is for general chats. It's NOT about money saving - if you want that try some other board.
However, if i'm honest, i've not seen any smut. I've seen a lot of arguements and try to steer clear of them! But no smut really, and if i have i've probably thought "not getting involved in that" and gone to another thread.
I DO get offended by name calling and pompus prats who think that their view is THE view.:j OFFICIAL NO.1 NELLY FAN - FACTno offence Vic purely on a Hoff basis:j0 -

Whats rude ? You see its ok having talks like this but if I dont know exactly what posts people are referring to how can i or anyone else comment ?
Personally I have seen many posts which are not suitable for younger kids (the older teens probably know more about sexual inuendos than us here anyhow) but we have to remember this site is not aimed at kids, its mainly for adults. If you are going to say this is a site which entertains kids then yes I agree a lot needs to be done to stop some of the rude things expressed. I personally would feel very uncomfortable talking rude stuff with children present.
Having said that though this site is not a childrens site, so for me I dont think there is a need for complaint when we are talking adults reading. I appreciate some things might seem a bit over the top for some people but we all are not gonna be happy with everything thats posted. I saw a post the other day and to me it was well over the top but I knew it had been reported so didnt bother, so if theres something that you really dont approve of then report it to abuse and let them deal with it.
As far as sending a pm to someone then no i dont agree with that, just because one person finds something offensive does not mean it is.......just leave it to abuse I say.0 -
Again,
DT and the arms are not about money saving.
If we want to officially make it so that's fair enough.
If anything comes out of this thread it should be a decision as to what we are all doing on here. If it's got to be written as if a 10 yr old is reading than that's fine by me. I can do funny and clean.
Let's not just end up with the same confusion.Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.
I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else0 -
I fully agree with what anyone says about DT and The Arms being for general chat, and not about Moneysaving.
I also understand that pubs are meant for grown-ups! But we all have different levels of tolerance and perhaps we ought to look at it like that. Imagine you're at a family party - one Granny might love all the smutty talk, but another would be upset by it. In that case, anyone with a modicum of decency would take smutty gran to one side (PM her!) and have a rude laugh in the corner, leaving clean-living gran to enjoy a few drinks and some good clean fun.

You are quite right Shocking Pink, love the hat btw, and Martin's own Gran views the site so its always best to err on the cautious side and think before posting0
