it's a familly site !
I honestly don't know how you got away with that one!
I personally found it (and find you) very funny - but not for this site.de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
I agree savingsgirl, some of the threads can get a bit near the knuckle so to speak. A while ago in the Arms (maybe a year or so) it was getting very riske and I did speak out then, this was not hugely welcomed. It was very late night posting but as this site is always live, the chat could be viewed at anytime of the day later on. This site is also open to under 18's and this should be a big consideration for all posters. After I stood my corner the posting did change and calm down a lot. If anything it became more adult!Panda xx

I haven't seen much blatant sex talk, but when I have seen things that are deliberately meant to offend, I click the red triangle. There is no need, for example, when discussing a gay issue to have some idiot coming on the thread to make crude remarks about what they perceive gay sex to be like, or a thread on single mothers that has a clown making comments about single mothers being 'of loose morals' to put it more politely than they do.
I spend more time on DT than in the arms and I haven't seen any open flirting in there but I don't know if i'm just being naive. Flirting doesn't bother me and to be honest neither does outright smut, but I don't think this is the place for the latter.
Questions about sex or reproduction will get a full and frank answer from me while trying to be considerate of those who find it embarrassing, simply because I think lots of people are misinformed and if there is an honest, respectful question, then it deserves the same in answer (eg when someone thought you could get pregnant from a toilet seat.) But I imagine that some people find that too much and that's fair enough.
So I'm not sure what to answer. Smutty talk shouldn't be on here, but I suppose we all have different ideas as to what that is.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
There's loads of flirting in DT - I'm doing it now!de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0

Flirting is fine...carrying on via PM is fine IMO as it is not in public domain.
We need to remember Kids visit this site too, and need to use appropriate language.
I love the arms, and censoring post would be sad, as some members really brighten up my dull day (nelly for one) with his occasional risque posts!
I think anyone who finds things offensive should say so openly that way its more public knowledge of what is and is not acceptable. Well done for speaking up SG!:wall:Crazy Nutters Club Member 003 :wall:0 -
savingsgirl only made this thread cos she want me to talk dirty to her0

Can we please decide what this forum is wrt the Arms and DT?
Keep kids out or close 90% of it down.
If these areas are truely for kids then there is tons of stuff on here and even in this thread (nelly) that I would find offensive (including loads of stuff I have posted). I don't want my 10 year old nephew asking about spank infernoes!
But my question is are there any kids in these areas? I don't know why we would or should have any children in these areas. I wouldn't want a creche in a stripclub.
Secondly - people keep saying this is a money saving site - well find five threads in the arms or DT that are for saving money. Sorry but to use that as an arguement against anything on these areas of this site is a joke. Accept that these two areas are not about money saving or report and kill all the theads that are funny or discussion points. There won't be much to do on them after that.Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.
I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else0 -
I wouldn't like a young child of mine to read much here.
My youngest is a member (15). She's only allowed to come on here if I'm with her, to steer away from innuendo. She gets embarrassed by it anyway.
DD2 is 19 and joins in wherever.
DD1 rarely posts (praise be). She would embarrass me.de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
I think it should calm down, but not totally stop.
we all like a laugh, which we do have, but it does go too far. The amount of threads Ive just left because it has got out of hand has def got more regular in the past few weeks...
(hhmmmmmmmmm...Ive been signed off work two weeks ago.....maybe I should stop while im ahead.....)0 -
One thing I'd like to ask (yes I'm back hehe, staying away never works with MSE!) is, how many people who disapprove of the 'rudie' posts, have ever PM'ed someone whose post they found offensive to tell them?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
