The same comment #2 where the poster makes a flawed point about paydays?

In the Jobcentre in which I work I can allow you to change your signing on day.
If you had a job interview on your signing day, were doing voluntary work on your signing day or perhaps a course on your signing day I would ask you to sign the following day. Your payment would be received a day late though as you'd signed a day late which doesn't help the OP.

I've heard of people being allowed to change their signing day because they're getting dialysis or something on the day.

Just how deaf are you OP? Do you have care needs resulting from your deafness?

    Hi.

What if the course you wanted to do went on for a number of weeks/months.?.

What a load of moronic comments are in this thread.
The question was, "can she change it."
The answer, she probably could if the jobcentre slackers wanted to.
The "jobcentre slackers" spend 40 hours per week listening to people complaining how inconveniant it is having to turn up once every two weeks. The OP should appreciate what they are receiving, not waste peoples time moronically trying to change the day the money arrives. Why should they change the payment day?.

Yeah we know all that. But that isn't what was asked.

Would you change their signing day because they don't like the day of the week their benefit is paid on ?

I used to work in the unemployment benefit office in the early 80's one of the main reasons I left was abuse from people who couldn't sign their name who got more per week than I got per month just because they understood the mechanics of breeding.

Back in the day the day of signing on was determined by the surname and the rules were the same you could change to the next day if you had a good cause but the system took 3 days to produce a payment even then.

Those people are generally only there for 5 minutes. (I was there longer last time due to someones' error)

Your nation insurance details dictates your signing day so, no sorry you can't change the day.

Yes, or more precisely, the last two digits of your NI. 00-19 is Monday, 20-39 is Tuesday, 40-59 is Wednesday etc. etc.
