Can I change JSA sign on ?

I had ask the jobcentre that I want to change JSA sign on from Friday backward to Tuesday, so I can get my payment on the Friday as I get fed up of waiting for the payment to be paid on the Wednesday, really hate it.

They refuse and say no.

Am I allow to change it ?

Why is stupid government take 3 working days to be paid, why can't they do same day or 1 working day ?

No, you would not be able to change your payday at work, so why do you expect to be able to at the Jobcentre?
    Gone ... or have I?

Your nation insurance details dictates your signing day so, no sorry you can't change the day.
  • Unfortunately, from my very limited knowledge on this topic, I don't think it's possible to change your day of signing.
However, I may be wrong and you're quite right to doublecheck things. I can also understand your frustration regarding payments.

Best of luck for the future :)

No it doesn't, When i signed on again end of my college year, I was asked if wednesday still suited me. Which it did cause i got paid on a saturday cause of RBS system.

But i doubt they will let you change because you dont like the day you get paid.

Surely it makes no difference, as your payments are still two weeks apart? Anyway, if you go and get a job it wouldn't be a problem any more.

That would very much depend on how old your son is, and, if you're a single parent etc.
From what I understand, Income Support is due to be abolished (?) in the future and the conditions of claming become ever stricter.

I hope everything gets sorted for you :)

    You're wrong.

Your benefit week ending day is determined by your national insurance number. Your benefit week ending day just so happens to be the day you sign on. Three working days later, your payment arrives at the bank.

So, yes, your payday is determined by your national insurance number.
