penpen gorgeous flowers. Lunch decluttered, veggie spring rolls from "i can cook" website a huge success, didn't oil the filo as had run out of oil, so it went really crunchy and the DDs said it was just like crisps...this is a good thing apparently. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

The other thing no-one realises til they experience it, even if you can walk a bit, if the loo doesn't have a hand-hold to lever yourself up, once you sit down on it, it's very difficult to get up again!:D
Also, the type of pubs we tend to like are little village pubs, which are more often then not very old buildings, which don't lend themselves to wheelchair access. Serves us right for not liking JD Wetherspoons type places I suppose.:D:D:D
He may do yet; men are strange where grief is concerned. All you can do is be there for him if/when he does need to cry/express his grief.
And the little village pubs are the ones that are (probably) sailing close to the wind as far as money's concerned, or listed buildings... I could go on but won't. Sometimes, Wetherspoons is the only game in town simply because they have the finances to make the alterations when they're converting buildings. (Gets off soapbox:D)
I'm sure all those Flyladies and Flyrelatives enduring grief will let it go at some point: you never know how and when the dam will break, if at all, so much depends on upbringing, doesn't it? (For example, I have a very stoic family but didn't inherit the stiff upper lip.Which makes life very interesting at times:o) January and February are difficult months for all of us, especially those with long term illnesses. Dodgy hugs, spoons and sticks for all that need them and the basket will be checked and replenished later this afternoon.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

His way of coping - same as mine. I hope he is ok. If he is anything like me then it is best to leave him to get on with it, poking fingers in the hole for a reaction does not help. Dealing with practicalities may help as it is an outlet for the emotional stress.
Oh I absolutely won't badger or even ask him anything.. he knows I am here whenever he needs me for whatever reason.
I clean things and throw things out.. given the number of deaths in my family the last few years I am surprised I have any belongings left!!:o Rant alert...
How does anyone else cope with living with blokes... I'm finding it more and more difficult...:mad::mad: Everytime I want anything doing I need to have either an emotional breakdown and cry or do a complete Macbeth and shreek like a banshee at them... They will then rally round for an hour or so, but sulk for at least 12 after.... I dont like to nag and even DS who is 16 is treated almost like an adult.
I don't scream or shout I mention something needs to be done.. then about an hour later I ask if they will do it for me... then about an hour later I start doing it myself.. then they spring into action.. OR, I say right I am going to do that now and he says he'll do it and I say come on then.. OR I do stuff when he goes out then he says you asked me to do that and I reply, I did, but you ignored me and didn't do it and I needed it now.
Mine loads DW without being nagged, feeds cats, fish and bunnies and switches off smoke alarms
Both WMs on
DW on

LW~~ I know what you mean about country pubs around here, OH and I went out last year to Quainton, on the way he said lets stop to eat / drink....it was about 1.30pm on a Saturday afternoon, of the 4 pubs we went into, 2 were just closing, the other 2 didn't do food, as there is no demand for it!!!
We got home and made sandwiches, not the same as a pub lunch, but very MSE!! :money:
When my mother was alive and in her wheelchair, she use to like going out, to pubs for a soft drink / meal, so numerous times we had to recky first to make sure, the wheelchair would go in the pub and the toilets were suitable...............we ended up with a list of about 4 from what I can remember, that were suitable and use to use these on rotation....
If you need any locally to be reckkied first, I would only be too happy to help out!! :rotfl::rotfl:Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I haven't been flying very well at all this week and now I am feeling it. Seems to be £^$*%&£%$* everywhere!
That's the thing with having children, things get dumped upon the already dumped. Dreading next week and now I'm dreading sorting through that pile of ironing and that great clothe and shoes 'ski slope' that is the stairsBest get cracking otherwise it will be worse come next week and I have too much studying to do and a dining room to redecorate.
Does things get easier when both children are at school? Find it hard being a Mum, housewife and keeper and a student right now.weight loss so far: 6lbs

Hi All,
Had a walk and that was about it yesterday - did wash up, do some laundry and help stick a load more 'insulation' into the roof. OH has made a start on RoD which passes for an office which means loads of stuff out and up through the loft hatch
Today, I've fed beasts, lit fire and done 2 hours of filing  Might get the accounts up to date this afternoon and help a bit with office...

Hardly any flying this week as started it feeling rough on Monday and went down with flu/sinusitis on Thursday - despite having the flu jab last November at work!
Oh well, will poodle about and do what I can today - managed to start the washing/drying yesterday, got Mum coming round later to sort her car insurance and a couple of other things - the joys of the internet, eh!!
Back to work tomorrow if I feel better - don't want to go back and re-infect anyone (which is how I got the damend thing in the first place!) and the start of another Flylady week!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
:heart2: RIP Clio 1.9.93 - 7.4.10 :heart2:I WILL be tidy, I WILL be tidy!

*doesn't cope with living with blokes - checks them out;)*
anyway
My name is Valli and I am a procrastinator
and this has to stop
clearly cleaning/ironing etc are displacement activities and I am putting things off so some tasks are getting really, really onerous.
So i have a little list of bite-sized 'put off' tasks.
I ahev done some *grins*
and am going back in to do some more NOW
and, tonight, BEFORE I GO TO BED my bag for work will be properly packed, my lunch will be organised.
*gazes out of window but sees no pigs flying...*
EDIT actually that should be CHUCKS but on second thoughts :rotfl: I do THAT, tooDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
