Up early this morning and having breakfast now and then off to church.
Had a major clear out of DH's wardrobe yesterday and now have 2 big binliners full... 1 for charity shop, but the other one....
it is full of white t-shirts that have shrunk in the TD. I was thinking
clothes bank, but does anyone have a better idea? (Not good enough for Oxfam really)

And then today starts the horror of my wardrobe and makeup cupboard..... dear oh dear... I will need to buy some more bin liners I think.....:eek::eek:
However... that will then be a long way towards clearing ROD #1 (yes, I have more than 1)

    :o:o Rant alert...
How does anyone else cope with living with blokes... I'm finding it more and more difficult...:mad::mad: Everytime I want anything doing I need to have either an emotional breakdown and cry or do a complete Macbeth and shreek like a banshee at them... They will then rally round for an hour or so, but sulk for at least 12 after.... I dont like to nag and even DS who is 16 is treated almost like an adult.

Having said all that, compared with some of you (:A) I am lucky and will shut up now......

Rant over.... (it's okay to open your eyes again LOL)

:A:A:AMuch love and prayers to all :A:A:A

How do I cope living with blokes? I think I've got used to it! DS has been told if laundry isn't filed then it won't be done and I think i might be winning (he's 18)!

OH is a hopeless case - I have pointed out that washing up isn't sex specific but it's not gone in!

But I may be a hopeless case - if I want something done properly I do it myself.....

    Thanks. One happy thing.

wm unloaded and reloaded, spring rolls made with DD2, dw on. I'm exhausted!

Want to ring my Ma (who was a nurse) and ask her how long this is likely to go on, but I know the answer really and I fear I will blub.

    Uniform Washer
    Good morning all (just!)

I have been up since early, but went to the gym with my friend.

Came home, decided the little freezer compartment in the fridge needed to be defrosted... so did that, re-cleaned the fridge and then cleaned and mopped the kitchen floor.

Food shopping has been delivered and stored away.

    WM and TD reshuffled.

I dewebbed the whole of upstairs yesterday and started dusting and polishing, doors and woodwork badly need done now so am off to do those.... (these are the things I never seem to get round to and a weekly/daily basis when they appear on the lists, so am off to make the effort now!)

Any suggestions on how best to clean my bathroom roof??

    xx

  • Good morning tp you all :A We had a lovely evening and our HM salami was devoured :) DH's ribs of beef were meltingly tender, and there's not much tiramisu left :o

DH has taken DD out to practice driving, so I'm trying to declutter. DH said that there's no more room in the loft unless we put down more boards  so we need to stop putting stuff in, and get rid of some that's already there :o

Lost of Flyladies in need, so have flowers

LW do CAMRA not have a DDA catagory or just access notes, there must be a few people who go to visit others and would like to know if they could pub visit / use the loos?

Nah, some hope! I've been trying myself to get info on disabled access, but half of the pubs don't bother to answer emails, and when they do, you can't rely on the information. Like they'll say they can get a wheelchair in.... what they mean is they get 4 burly customers to manhandle wheelchair + occupant up steps! Or "Yes you can get into the loo - there's just a weeny 4-inch step and no turning space, but you'll get in OK"

The other thing no-one realises til they experience it, even if you can walk a bit, if the loo doesn't have a hand-hold to lever yourself up, once you sit down on it, it's very difficult to get up again!:D

Apparently (according to a pub landlord of our acquaintance) they only have to make the loos disabled-friendly if they do them up, so the net result is a lot of pub loos are in a shocking state. Also, the type of pubs we tend to like are little village pubs, which are more often then not very old buildings, which don't lend themselves to wheelchair access.

Serves us right for not liking JD Wetherspoons type places I suppose.:D:D:D

.. with OH alarmingly not expressing anything.. just manifesting as a major case of the shakes and a bit of grumpiness.. why can he not just strop and cry like the rest of us?
He may do yet; men are strange where grief is concerned. All you can do is be there for him if/when he does need to cry/express his grief.

The Saga of the Bathroom Door continues;:D the holes for the knobs/latch have been drilled, Mr LW is working on cutting the little recesses for the hinges now. Hopefully, I can varnish the first side of it later on today.:o

Right, I'm going to declutter another cup of coffee, then I must get on with my monthly PC backup.:o
