I have never smoked either and it really riles me when people that are on benefits say they dont have enough money to pay the bills but they are there lighting up! My sister spends £100 a month on her habit, and I keep telling her just think how much you could save if you didnt waste that money. I get so annoyed. As I have never smoked I can not really understand it and my mum smokes but is ill because of it. How can that not stop you?? Surely health comes first? It is really frustrating. I cannot stand even the smell of smoking. My 16 year old started after always being anti smoking so it was a real shock but he says he is giving up now and I really hope he does.
Well done on Toluna, I have not been bothered there again and have been getting loads of surveys come through. I am at 50k towards my 4th one. I think I would be more inclined if they came through quicker.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I did my freezer audit and a freezer defrost a couple of weeks ago. It didn't take too long to do an audit as I was running it down and only have a fridge freezer. I'm going to keep a freezer and cupboard stock list going I think, to ensure I use things up and don't carry too much money earning no interest just sitting around in tubs and tins.Debt at highest: £8k. Funnily enough I've just done a cupboard audit too and although it looks like we have nothing in I've meal planned for about a month! It just shows how much biscuits and crisps and bad food take up all the room in your cupboards.
I've noticed though Katsu that the price of food has really shot up again recently. I thought it was scary walking around Mr M's today. I bought things that was on offer but noticed how much they had increased in value since last time I bulk bought them.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
I agree Iris - if we weren't buying carefully it could be horrendously expensive. Aldi saves me TBH - their prices are so good. I grabbed celery on their 39p special. I had just come from MrS where it was over twice the price - also cucumber far dearer than at the market (unsurprisingly really). I find MrS and MrT are just so dear now, and am so thankful for the fruit and veg market stall.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

Great result.
Maybe we are all insane really, and no-one else tells us. I'm happy for you.0 -
I've not yet got my head around the tesco deals - well done you. I couldn't see the point in buying stuff I would not use, so I need to find things I would want. Wish I had got some of the cheap baileys tho!Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

Well, talking of our freezer audits...I have been very closely following the threads on the Price check between Mr T and Mr A and the DTD deals. I am absolutely over the moon as I planned very carefully and got my very first DTD for my groceries for £51.26 :j
God the excitement nearly killed me and I just do not get why my DH and DS cannot share how happy this made me!!!! They just honestly think I have lost the plot now...so I knew if I post on here how you all would share my excitement
hahahaha :rotfl:
Well done! I'm sharing it, I'm sharing it ...:) I got my voucher last week £30 odd and my heart was in my mouth waiting to see what I'd got. I've not been back since though so I still need to spend it ...and do it all again :rotfl: I could do with some wine me thinks.
I'm using the voucher then putting the cost into the ISA.
My DH was the same - they just don't understand!

I too need to go and do the freezer audit. It isn't as bad as it was as i have not been to the cheap frozen place for a bit, but i do think a visit is on the cards soon. I'm getting bored of what we have in and need to think of providing a bit of variety for us.
That would be a very good thing! My flat is looking a little like those awful pictures we have been seeing far too much in the media these days, without the excuse of a natural disaster.Mini Challenge - Halve 2nd Mortgage by Year EndStarting: £10,000 Currently £8,142.62£3,142.62 to go!0 -
