3 days is way too soon far a parcel to be lost. You need to give it at least a week.

I know it can't be counted as 'lost' yet but I can just sense that it is. I've actually spoken on the phone to the buyer and they do seem genuine. First Class is meant to be max two days isn't it? What the hell i was thinking sending it this way I don't know, proper schoolboy era. Also probably made a mistake by telling the buyer that I sent it un-recorded as it now gives her a free run to tell me it hasn't arrived even if it does.

I know I sound like a panicer but with it being January and a baby on the way in two months, and money VERY tight, losing 150 quid is the last thing I need

Because they were asking me for a tracking number etc and I'm not the type to ignore people.

At the end of the day she has paid me. I wanted to give her some piece of mind that I've sent it as after all she has paid a fair whack out.

I know I should have waited for HER to give feedback but I can't stand waiting about, also I never withdraw money from paypal until I get positive feedback and that can take ages

Well Mcfly and others will be happy to know that after three days the package still hasn't (apparently) arrived. I may be able to get the same item again and send that, not that it helps me in any way really.

Where do I stand with postage fees etc? Obviously this time I will send it Special Delivery if the woman still wants it. Do I have to pay out another 20 odd quid to send it or what?

I have spoken to the woman that bought it and she seemed friendly enough . I told her the truth as if she's gonna 'thieve' it she will do anyway.

Where do I stand? Its a heavy package travelling from London to the north but at first class it would surely have got there by now. Have to take it on the chin but the real guilt should lie with the Postman that nicked it or the buyer if she has actually received it and says otherwise

    Sorry, this is crazy!

The normal legal presumption in this country is that mail IS delivered. There is a good reason for that. 99.999XXX % IS delivered.

Next, the VAST majority of people are perfectly honest.

So, if you calm down for a moment you will realise that you are almost certainly worrying yourself over nothing.

The RM won't even treat it as lost until 15 days have elapsed - which also tells you something.

If the worst happens (however unlikely) then I think we have finally established on here that if you stick to your ground you can claim up to £41.

I will be amazed if you have to.

It might be crazy but I like to know in advance what actions I can take.

I actually know of two Postman who got sacked for not delivering mail etc, maybe thats why I am so paranoid!

Another day down, no package received. Surely I've had it now.

Buyer mailed said they aren't hassling just keeping updated and that although it didnt come today another item they bought off someone else last thursday only turned up today . Could be throwing me off the scent though
