No, far from boring, :T
Boring would be if you did nothing and rolled over as Ford and many of the big players would have you do, don't give them that satisfaction.
But a final result post here is imperative, otherwise we are wasting our time,I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
If an engine (especially a new engine) was running without coolant then all sorts of things could have happened as it (potentially) overheated. I'd be pushing Ford hard.0

Yeah i agree.
It's being dealt with by the executive team. They've all looked at the videos and they reckon it's 'unburnt fuel in the exhaust' - now i dont know if it's just me being negative, but to me it sounds as though they just think it's overfuelling slightly or something? How would this explain the engine sounding/running like it's knackered for the first ten mins?
They're booking it in next week, and sending their own technician out the garage to look at it. Giving us a Mondeo courtesy car aswell.. which is good as they only give out fiestas! Will report back when it's been looked at.This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -

Ok so I've just gone out to hoover the car out, as been away for the weekend.
Thought i'd check the fluid levels... coolant level is just below minimum, and oil level is about half way. when it had a full coolant change it was above maximum. wouldnt say it's lost loads but still enough to wonder where it's gone? no mayo under filler cap or anything. done about 4.5k since it was changed.
Also i dont know if this is normal but the oil smelt more like diesel than oil..
i keep finding little things as i go along, whether they have any relevance i don't know.
really sorry for keep posting these little bits up, but i want to have as much ammo behind me as possible for when it goes in this week, as i'm assuming it'll be the last check they'll do before they tell me to clear off. This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -
With all sorts of forums being monitored by both sellers and manufactures, the more we write the more they sit up and take notice.
Well done RICK for your tenacity and perseverance, lets hope that it turns out OK - with this sort of coverage it should do!0
