  • In the most recent Which? report the Kaymed Visco Pocket 1600 was one of the worst they tested so I would suggest looking elsewhere.

That is very interesting. My info was taken off the internet during a search in reference to beds and mattresses that give both the memory foam in combination with springs a couple of months ago. I would appreciate it if you could recall the brand that was rated top in the same category.

Thanks for putting that right. Just shows - can't believe everything you read on sale's sites.

  • In the "spring and foam" category, best was the Healthbeds Memory Med 1400 and second was the much cheaper Myer's Conformer. However, the "foam only" mattresses scored higher mainly because they were lighter and easier to turn, and had removable covers. Top rated was the Healthbeds Memory Flex. HTH

Make sure the slats or base on your bed aren't bending when you're lying on them, and make sure they're not too far apart. Both of these can really mess about with your sleeping.

The foam mattress I had in halls of residence was the most comfy bed I've ever slept in. It made me miss too many morning lectures though!!!

    Hi there

I had the most horrific back pain before I changed my matress.. also hip and knee and ankle... I know... i'm falling apart - or should I say was!

You have to go for a foam matress - they are absolute life savers!

When ours arrived it was airpacked and looked like it would not fit a cot let alone a double bed.. give it 6 hours in the open air and it expands to the usual size..

Also, for the first week I thought I would never get used to it - very hard and smelt like varnish (?) - but once it has taken on board your shape you will never want to leave it at home!!

I bought mine from a Ebay and it was as cheap as chips - I have just bought my Dad one too - not sure if I can give the details on here so I will just leave the item number of mine 260046890247 ... service from this guy is superb - arrived within 24 hours of ordering..

BE WARNED though - you will never go on holiday again... Stayed in a hotel last week and couldnt straighten up for 45minutes!!

    GOOD LUCK!!

I have bookmarked the Ebay page to show the missus..

It looks within my Xmas budget (just).

    But.... Before I buy....
Has anyone got a bad word to say about foam mattresses...?
