Ok sorry in advance as this is going to be a bit of a moan! I feel really down today, I've just found out that my cousin has got an interview for her friend at her place of work. She knows that I have been looking for something and although I would not want her to do me any favours by getting me an interview I feel that if she had just have told me then I would have got an interview on my own merit, I have all the experience that they could possibly want. I'm so angry and hurt that she would not even let me know!
  • Same here. I really, really want to work but you can bet when I eventually get a job I'll do nothing but look forward to weekends! I hate weekends at the moment as I feel it just means another week has passed and I still haven't got a job.

I think possibly with me the problem is that I don't have enough money to actually enjoy the time I'm not working. I spend all my money on living expenses and there isn't any left for enjoying myself.

Anyway I've got an interview at 2.30pm today and I'm really nervous (more so than usual for some reason). Wish me luck (I need it!).

Good luck for your interview xx

I just got my first rejection out of all the jobs I have applied for. Didn't even get an interview :(

Hi everyone, new to the thread but i'm on the job hunt as well.

Got an interview at 5pm today, i know i'm going to get more nervous as the day goes on.

It's a full time position, they haven't advertised a salary which is to be discussed in the interview, so not really looking forward to that but am pleased I got to this stage :)

So much for that positive feeling lasting the week, I feel really down today :( and I'm so sick of people not getting back to me, even if I'm just enquiring about something, it's so frustrating :angry:

I hope everyone else is having a better day.

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

Is it just me or are things getting worse? I'm finding a LOT less jobs than I did a month ago...

I have to sign back on on Thursday, joy!

  • There are hardly any vacancies so far this week. Getting really demotivated.

Yeah I find that really rude. Its only common courtesy after all.

This is bugging me, I went for an interview around 2 months ago to do general customer service work. They turned me down and they have been looking ever since. They are paying NMW and asking for someone who drives AND someone who speaks Welsh. Driving would be helpful for the job, I admit. But speaking Welsh really isn't part of the job! How much do companies want these days when they are paying next to nothing?

I'm sure if they pay more then Welsh speaking people who drive would be more than happy to go work for them!

I'm having a rubbish week as well. Nothing out there at all.

Isn't there anybody out there with some good news to give us a boost?

Good luck with the interview Carrie.
