I will be officially out of work this time next week. I hoped to have something sorted out by now. Fingers crossed that this week will be more productive than last week.
  • Bit confused about this weeks to do list today.
The company where I passed the phone interview are slacking on a date for the face to face. I will carry on with the powerpoint presentation regardless, widening it's scope to apply to any job for now, will tailor when I get the interview date.
I am up for another job via another recruiter and I have an appointment set up next week with recruiter who I just love!

I have to write a tailored CV for a sector of my business, perhaps just focus on that and the powerpoint this week? Make it a learning and practise week?

Good luck Lexilex, you will be fine I'm sure, being a people peson is the skill you want for credit control.
  • Oh, a question about recruiters:

I have updated my CV (less vague now), shall I send round to my current recruiters or wait until they have a job that comes up that I want?
I wouldn't mind an excuse to remind them of my presence but is it worth doing or will it annoy them?
  • Only just over a week of being unemployed now and im demented. The days are all merging into one. Had a flap this morning thinking I had missed the bin men, then realised I was a day too early. Im seriously considering looking into voluntary work now to keep me busy and so there are no gaps on my CV. Im doing a history degree with the OU so would be great to get some voluntary work in a Historic Scotland place.

Still not heard back from anything I have applied for so far :(

I updated mine and re-sent it to agencies. There had been a couple of weeks between sending the old one and new one. Just let them know I was still available for work and attached was my updated CV

I had a cold last week, managed to shake it off, but I now have a cough and ache all over! I'm not feeling great :(

Wish I could take a sick day, but need to get lots done today and just got to get on with it. Gah!

Good luck to all though with interviews this week or waiting to hear back. Fingers crossed.

Hope you get well soon. My boyfriend has had a bad cold for the last couple of weeks. So far I'm managing to avoid getting it

I resent mine on Friday and had a couple phone calls from them with jobs I might be interested in (nothing of any use of course but still). So it does seem to remind them we exist.

I've added the questions to the first page like Stew said :)

I'm still waiting to hear from that company I went for an interview for. They had to reschedule some of the interviews until the end of last week so I'm hoping within the next few days they'll finally get back to me. It's been two months since I applied! Still not got my head in the looking for work again game yet...

    What are the questions?

Oh dear, gone way off course already, applied for a random job and then started spring cleaning. You know when you start and you just want to do it all? Got all the windows open FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS!! :):):) (and that's what all my plans flew out of)
