Morning everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Had some good news Friday, have been offered the job I recently had an interview for. Now its a case of them getting the reference which I am not too hopeful about but have to try and be optimistic.0

Well done everyone with job offers (and uni offers)!
I'm feeling really quite ill today, but I start my temp work so off to Newport I go. I'm glad they got me in last Thurs to go over what I'm doing, makes me far more chilled today! I think it was the right decision to go for this one because on Thurs the permanent job was mentioned a lot so fingers crossed they open the position soon and I get it! Getting my hopes up, really need to learn to stop doing that!
Hope it all goes well for you! And hope you feel better soon. :TSaved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Morning all
Just back from signing on. The advisor didn't even bother to look for jobs for me to apply for - asked me if I looked on the job centre website, I said yes and mentioned one I had applied for and that was it. What a waste of time plus its blowing a gale and I have a blinding headache.
So off to look for all the Monday morning jobs now. Good luck everyone this week with jobs, interviews, uni etc.0 -

Always feels a waste of time doesn't it. Suppose we can't complain too much when they pay us :rotfl:Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
I got the sack recently (unfairly I hasten to add) and have been looking for work unsuccessfully since late last month.
It hasn't got me down at all though, despite some initial worries about bills and rent, I've only had one interview and rang every suitable job going and joined two agencies which have provided no work so far.
I started voluntary work and may take up another voluntary role as I have too much time and not enough skills.
I think we should also work together to increase our chances of success, but how is the question.
Thanks for raising this topic0 -
Morning everyone,
Well done to all those who have had positive outcomes over the last few days. Certainly keeping our spirits up and making us feel more optimistic.
Well I have been for an NHS interview this morning, can you believe it was for 9am! Never been for an interview so early. Anyway it went okay they said they are interviewing a lot of people. Hence my early start, it was the usual questions and scoring me, then an I.T test at the end. I think I did okay but only thing is I don't have NHS experience.
Fingers crossed everyone.0 -

I know I shouldn't moan. Its the £3.80 bus fare that annoys me really - its half what I spent on food last week. It seems a waste of money to pay that much to get to an appointment that lasts about 5 minutes.0 -

Snap! Well nearly, had a NHS interview at 9.30am today for a receptionist job today... It could have gone better, but then I over criticize myself and I didn't like the questions... My problem is that I don't have NHS administration experience (as I do have NHS experience - current part time job). I was told there are 7 people being interviewed in total so looks like I have a long wait.0 -
