Hi everyone and congrats Persa, great to hear good news!

I've nothing to share, no interviews :( but I have started a little project.

I've made a website, www.wantajob.tk where I have tried to bring together all the info for job seeking. It is only very basic, but I hope it might be helpful to people just starting the search. Can anyone think of anything more I should add? I'm going to add a money saving page (obviously ;)) later on once I've finished zumbering.

Also there is the option to add files to pages, so I was thinking if people are still interested in sharing CVs and giving each other tips and advice this may be a good way of doing it.

    Let me know :)

I love it! It's just what is needed out there, you should definitely keep it up :)

Asparagus - Love is stronger than silence, your husband will snap out of it soon. Your confidence seems to be very low at the moment, which is very normal for someone jobseeking, so you need to perk it up a little by doing something you enjoy, or just invite a friend/family member over for coffee to have a chat and a moan or even a cry if you feel like it.

Now I know what you mean about weight issues, last week I had two different people asking me if I was pregnant  Which I am most definitely not.

Well done Persa on the job.
Asparagus sorry you are having a bad day, it is horrible when the other half is not talking. I know I don't sleep or settle. I am sure things will get better, as others have suggested have a day off today. Go for a walk, or a coffee. Don't be hard on yourself.
Lexilex the site sounds interesting will take a look.
Slinky I hope you get the decision today and it is good news.
Yesterday evening I was so frustrated, only wanted to print my completed applications and job descriptions out and it took nearly an hour. .... grrr nothing is straight forward.

I'm on my way to my first interview since I've been job hunting... Pretty terrified! And I have no idea why it need to be 40 minutes long, I understand that's probably about average but what on earth are they going to do with me for all that time?! :-S

Loops I've had interviews where I've come out and realised I've been in for over an hour - time flies when you're having fun! :rotfl:

    Good luck!!!

  • Well, I've just seen something on Facebook which hasn't helped how I'm feeling - one of my FB friends who's been out of work since last Friday has already managed to land another job.

    Now I feel extra rubbish.

    Hi everyone,

Still not got my PC sorted yet, it's come back from repair but they failed to put Windows back on so I can't use it until I get recovery discs! Not happy about that.

Had my interview for Kumon last week and was told I'd hear within a couple of days if I have the job as he wanted someone to start monday. I never did hear back so assume I didn't get it. A call would've been nice though.

Had my interview at BHS Saturday so still waiting to hear back from that.

I have an appointment at the Job Centre tomorrow for a 4 week review. Anyone had one of these? Tried googling it but had no luck so have no idea what it's for.
