How odd, I just spoke to someone about a job I applied for yesterday who said that they MIGHT phone me tomorrow to come in for a last minute interview but they might not! If they do it will be around 2pm. It MIGHT also be next week or it MIGHT not happen at all.
Seriously... what is the point...Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -

That's really strange and useless! Did they actually ring you up just to say that?? or did you phone them? Bizzare!!0 -

The rang me, I missed it and got a voicemail, so I rang them back and they missed it so I left a voicemail. They then rang me again to say that!
Hardly worth my time :rotfl:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
I'm finally feeling positive again. Applied for lots of jobs and fingers crossed this temp work brings up something permanent in the near future. Stew, it's in Newport
Clappa park? I have no idea how to get there!
Today I'm going to work on my cashflow/business plan for going freelance because I have my next steps appointment on Friday with Princes Trust.
Hi Drea,
Sorry i've not replied sooner, just finished a 6.00-2.00 shift and then headed into the gym for an hour.
Cleppa Park is on the Cardiff side of Newport, the number 30 bus that runs between Cardiff and Newport stops there. The business park is quite big so you would need to know where on the park it is. If it helps there is a Greggs on the estate and a nice pub. I actually live quite close to there so if you let me know which company you're going to see I could have a quick look where it is and get you better directions.
Hope that helps.
It sounds like there is a more positive mood around on the thread today, long may it continue.
Good luck to you all.0 -
I'm a bit worried about one of the answers I gave on the Asda assessment, as it seems the choices for the multiple choice were wrong! Oh well not much I can do about it.:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls
I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

try not to worry about it too much Kymbogs! Good luck.
I'm preparing for an interview tomorrow as a receptionist, I am slightly worried as I was boasting about how I speak French on my application... I did do A level French but I've forgotten it all...I just hope they don't ask me anything in French tomorrow! One of the desirable criteria was speaking another language :-S0 -
Well. I started my online course today and have managed to accidentally submit 2 tests and start the assessment on the module we are saving until last :rotfl: I swear this modern technology is lost on me! :rotfl:0

My spreadsheet is slowly going red from all the rejections
... Though some good news today, I got another interview for the 7th June
(I was offered an interview the other day for another position but I had to turn it down due to the interview time and date being the exactly the same time as an exam).

Interview Critique:
Outfit: Lilac jeans and red and white shirt, renamed the 'relaxed confidence giver - ready to get on with it'
Brain pre interview: Blank but determined
Interview: I was intense again. The job (this time) requires the passion, confidence and excitement that has lost me others, but still, you can be too intense
However: This time I was word perfect intense and not chaotic, and at no point did I ever stray from the job spec. (ie no personal stories, yay me!).
Result: Neutral
Yet again, if I had worn the suit, it would have been a fail.0 -
