Well, I'm second best again. Heard back from the agency interview, I didn't get it because the other person had recruitment experience but they waited for the chosen one to accept before getting back to me because I was the second choice. I'm ALWAYS the second choice! Still to hear from the other one.

Unlucky Drea, I was told something similar the other week for a job that I really wanted, I think that sometimes being told that you were so close is actually worse than being rejected straight off!

I think it is, this is the third time I've been "the second choice". It's annoying because I'm obviously not doing anything wrong, it just so happens the other person has some experience that I don't.

My o/h was made redundant for in 2008. He had 9 months of always being second choice until finally he was offered 2 jobs at the same time. Very sorry to hear that you didn't get the job. Hope there are others in the pipeline

I know why I'm ill I went down some meadows at the weekend and got attacked by some mutant bugs and have about 20 massive bites which I was then allergic to so been put on some really strong antihistamines and the immune system has taken a massive plunge. They are starting to heal now just taking it easy.

If your asked for weaknesses, divert it to how you would put the job first instead of you.

I'm always/even on weekends/in my sleep, okay not the last one :) , thinking about my clients/tasks/etc...

Your weakness should be your dedication to the job (don't let it be though, it's just what they want to hear) but within a fair limit.
  • Actually found a decent job on the directgov site last night,so this morning got up early and sent off to the e-mail address, got 3 forms sent back to fill in and then send back online and have been busy filling them in.

It has taken me most of today working through them then next door got a parcel delivery and I take them in for her now I'm a bum...anyway I was talking to the parcel guy about any jobs going at his and when I got back to the laptop my eldest daughter had closed off the application form as she `just wanted to check her Facebook!

Needless to say I'm rather peeved off now.`
I know, I know should have saved it as I went along.:(

I've got to disagree, we had this very conversation today in the Princes Trust course. It's as bad as saying "I'm a perfectionist".

Well I should be preparing for my interview tomorrow but alas I am not. I may prepare the info tonight and then get up early tomorrow to try and digest it and prepare my answers. I'm more a 'off the cusp' person when it comes to interviews, hate the constraints of having everything stored like a robot (think it's my rebellious side :P).
