Slightly more promising start to the week than some.

I would love to work in Sport, in some capacity, and so apply for lots of jobs for local teams. Just had Lancashire Cricket Club telephone me to invite me for an interview for a role at the cricket centre in a customer service type role. Money may not be the greatest but could be an 'in' into the organisation.

When I started my last job, I decided I was going to keep a journal of things I'd done every day that I could use in interview situations. Now that I'm jobhunting again, I wish I'd kept it up for more than a week!

Now that's a really good idea!! I'll definitely be adopting this when I get a my next job!!

To echo Saxonrose's comment, Drea I would point out at any interview how you identified that unemployed people needed support and created a forum which has grown, with thousands of comments updated daily and thank you posts. You also provided constructive guidance on interview questions and provided emotional support when required. You are a brilliant coach, thank you

Stood outside where my interview is and suddenly got nervous! Feel a bit sick in fact. Not felt this nervous for a while! Big breath, and in I go.

    Hi Drea,

    How did it go?
    Fingers crossed for you!

In the words of the song "tell me why I don't like Mondays" - because its signing on day and I hate signing on more than anything! I'm due at the job centre at 1.15pm. I hope they don't tell me off for not applying for many jobs in the past few weeks - there just hasn't been any.

Drea I had a thought yesterday. Do you include setting up this forum as an achievement when applying for jobs/at interviews? If not you should as its the only place where there are people that understand how up and down I feel. It can be very isolating being unemployed and I've had a lot of support from people on here so many thanks to you all. Good luck at the interview.

Thanks guys :o I didn't want to put it on my CV like Stew said before because, well, I didn't do much, I just posted a thread. But I guess it's something I could use in interviews. :o

My interview went well I think, they will be doing second interviews this week too so hopefully I hear back soon. I hate this whole second interview craze! What is the point?

I just rang the local dog walkers to ask if they had any jobs going. I sounded like a right lemon on the answer machine thingy.

Good luck Drea, I have a good feeling about this one!

I've just finished applying for a job, the second of today. I am waiting to hear on so many jobs I have lost count.

The lack of money is really starting to get to me. My OH needs a suit for a wedding, I found one for £35 in Matalan's sale but his brothers (it's there Mum's wedding and they've decided they MUST match ) refused to get it. It's okay for them, they can afford to spend money on a suit they will never wear again, my OH can't, there are other things much more important at the moment. I'm so peed off that OH didn't say anything and I've not spoke to him since :o

Really fed up today, there doesn't seem to be anything new for me to apply for. I had the weekend off to spend some time with my daughter and now I'm back searching again. I'm starting to get a bit desperate now as I really didn't expect to be out of work this long!

He's probably being too proud. I got my interview suit from Asda for £20 and it looks really good (even if I do say so myself ;))

not found anything new to apply for today, and have been running out of the room every 3 minutes as there is a waspy/bee thing in the window....

i'm a bit on the allergic side, and am trying to work up the courage to swat t out the window...

my own fault as i have the back door open to get a breeze through it seems a shame to waste such lovely weather...

good luck to all, for future interviews and well done to those who got through some.

makes me think that i should organise something to wear if i were to get one (ooooh that would be nice)....

    i'm so bored.
