    NICE!

Well done on the second interview  I still can't believe you haven't found anything to be honest, you're always on top of things.

Looks like things are looking up for a few of us. Lets hope the interviews bring something positive!

Admin is what I do and it seems like an impossible task to get a job nowadays just on merit. In my last job I was the administration and office manager for a magazine in London but it doesn't seem to count for anything, some places want a degree 'just' for an admin position and it's ridiculous. You don't need a degree to be a good administrator.

    I'm sending you a PM

I'm just back from the job centre. That place gets worse every time I visit. There were lads singing and throwing things about, it was like been back at school.

I am finding things tough at the moment. I'm not hearing back from anything I apply for and I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just feel so rubbish and inadequate, I've never been a massively confident person but this has knocked my confidence even more.

I want to do some voluntary work to gain experience and get me out, but I'm struggling to find anything remotely relevent. It's all shop work and fundraising, which would get me out, but it isn't going to get me experience doing what I want.

I've been having the same problem with voluntary work, I'd like to do some but I know I would hate working in a shop (have done it before, couldn't cut it) and fundraising would be the same. Struggling to find anything else.

Bit busy now for the next month so that gets me out and about but if there's still nothing after then I'll look into it again. I'm one of those who hasn't been getting dressed everyday :o really need to find work before I go stir crazy!

well i have just had a whole day out....

my leaving gift was a gift card for a shopping centre so i was trying to spend the last of it which i still haven't managed, but that bodes well for a day out next week. he he.

had a rejection letter this morning for a job the job centre recommended - not great HOWEVER hotel chocolat are looking for part time staff, and as i am now down enough i'm going to apply so i can get discounted chocolate while eating myself to the size of a house...

hugs and luck to all. :):):)

Nothing wrong with spending all day in your pjs! If you're going to be spending the day doing things you don't enjoy (ie applying for jobs) then you may as well be comfortable :)

    Morning all, good luck today!

Going to see a recruiter today and it needs to be a charm offensive as after two phone calls I still feel we are a bit wrong footed.
They have a job I want but which they know I could go behind their backs to get. Frankly I would be very happy if they got their commission off me getting it. Got to sort the trust issues :)
