Also, those sections are indented and shown in square brackets when shown on the the list of sections in the 1988 Act, which I suspect highlights those sections not yet enacted, although there is no key shown.

there is a blue pentagon with a "P" in it against the relevant section.
Hovering over same "P" icon at the top of the page creates the following popup text: "Prospective - the provision, or a specified version of the provision, has not yet been brought into effect."

Therefore, I believe, every vehicle does not currently have to have its own insurance.

Of course I know the blooming difference, I was referring specifically to the context of the discussion. However, the issue has now been settled, It appears I was talking out of my butt.

As I said earlier in the thread, I was always under the impression that what I was saying was correct, I have now been corrected and the matter is now clear to all.
