for a car to be driven there must be an insurance certificate somewhere on the planet with its number plate on before any third party extensions can be considered
We are going round in circles. I have already posted here (with links to legislation) that this is not the case! [post 36]We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Hi, there seems to be some confusion over my post.
As the owner of the vehicle, do I have to be insured on the vehicle even though I won't be using it? My partner is using the car, it's remaining in my name and he will inform his insurance that I own it and he is driving it. I just want to make sure that as the owner of the vehicle, I don't require my own insurance and my partner can drive it under his own policy.
No you don't.0 -
It doesn't need it's own insurance though. I can drive an otherwise un-insured car on my third party extension on my policy.
But this will go on forever.
(Well, until the law on sorning an uninsured car changes anyway)0 -

Here's a hint: section 144.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
