One useful thing I discovered about these mutual withdrawal requests.

The mutual feedback withdrawal is valid for 90 days after the auction ends. Hang onto it in your inbox and don't delete it, you can still use it to withdraw feedback right up until the end of the 90 days.

I had a non-paying (newbie) bidder a few months back, I left him a neg, and he retaliated, spoiling my 100% record. He requested mutual widthdrawal which I ignored.

A few months later he had 11 negs on his account for various stuff, and decided to make his feedback private so no-one could see the comments. My neg comment has well gone off the front page of his feedback by now anyway.

This really got on my nerves because no-one could see why I negged him!!

Anyway, I was clearing down old emails and came across the mutual widthdrawal email from EBay. I figured that since my neg couldn't be seen anymore, that widthdrawing it wouldn't do any harm. Clicked a couple of buttons, and hey presto, my rating had gone back up to 100%! :D Within a week he had gotten 4 more negs anyway so withdrawing mine made only a tiny difference.

Once the other person sends the withdrawal request, they have already agreed to withdraw it their side and so you do not need any further interaction with them to get the feedback to withdraw.

Result - my feedback rating back up to 100%!!

Excellent! Something which I can use even though I am Bill Gates-free. Thank you very much.

  • Sorry to hear about your misfortune. If they are really bad, then it may be an idea to leave bad feedback.

"Looking through the sellers feedback there are hints of people having bad experiences and finding the seller rude and aggressive"
    - unfortunately, you probably should read their feedback before you even consider buying from them !

It's always a good idea to check both negative feedback left and received....

The negatives / neutrals left by a seller are always the best indicator of how they respond when faced with a problem.

Can't say I am surprised by any of this - the feedback comments would have made me steer well clear.

    The comments basically say:

    Slow postage
    Bad packing
    Poor communication
    Abusive to customers
  • Hi,

I have had a couple of neg feedback reports on my account through one thing or another, but mainly due to emails between the buyer and myself not reaching their destination.

I have contacted those who left neg feedback and asked them to withdraw, after sorting out the problems that caused this in the first place. How do i apply to withdraw neg feedback i left for others? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards

    Drew

Check on help but I think you just apply for the mutual agreement!
