I'm going to have a mini vent here. This waiting for a * rating every month is pure stress, and has taken the enjoyment out of the Lionbridge experience for me. It doesn't motivate me to do better as its very vague, it just demotivates me - waiting for the axe to fall each month on these highly subjective criteria.

I had my second 2 star last month and was waiting to here I'd been let go, but heard nothing, so I don't know what's happening. Now I've got this 0 stars I don't know what that even means in terms of if I'll be retained.

I'll be quiting in the new year to concentrate on my main business I think.

I also have "no grade" due to not enough tasks. This is my 11 month with Lionbridge and the first time I have not got a rating. I have not done less tasks than previous months BUT I know have probably done less type 7 tasks and I think these tasks are partly used to give a star rating so I assume this may the problem. As I am waiting to be kicked out anyway as my 11 months are up I am not particularly worried about it but it is a bit annoying.

I've dropped from 5 stars to 3 this month and have no idea why. The feedback I've received is pretty good so can't see how to bring it back up. The only thing I can think is that I've been working solidly every chance I've had to meet bonus targets and so haven't had as much time as normal to do the quizzes and other things. It does get disheartening when you don't even know what you're doing wrong.

Exactly the same for me too, because of the bonus targets I've done no quizzes or video's etc and i've dropped 5 to 3 stars too. Feeling a bit demotivated to be honest as I've no clue where i've gone wrong over the last month.

I'm not quite sure about the 11 months. People keep saying they'll be kicked out but my understanding is that your work will be reviewed after 11 months and you will continue to be able to work if you have a good record. Have I got this wrong?

I know the contract we have is for 11 months and I don't know of anyone that has worked longer than this from the UK but if someone can tell me otherwise I would be very happy.:) Although it can get tedious at times the flexibility of the job cannot be matched as far as I am concerned.

That does sound promising - I was pretty sure I would be booted out in the next week or so. I suppose I just wait and see!
