Did they reduce to 75% or just a managers discretion discount?

it was all 75% but no big signs so not sure what the discretion was or wasn't
just 2 workers pricing things and many people taking them
lots of empty shelves ...

ok thanks for that wolfehouse! I had a look in Ek today , but still a stack lot of stock and not moving much - a few browsers in but buying nothing!

Even at 50% off, I think the Boots gift sets are over priced for what they are. I certainly won't buy Christmas gifts from Boots at only 50% off.

If they were 75% off, I might reconsider.

You can get 50% off easily.

I try to only buy things on sale and they must be AT LEAST 50% off, preferably more.

I don't consider 10, 20 or 30% to be significant discounts

our boots have got lots of stock - darling fearne obviously wasn't the draw they thought she would be, hatboxes stacked everywhere. they've been trying to put out summer stock but its a squish

like everyone else has said I've got fab things at 70% from elsewhere. next reduced their xmas cards to a pound before new year, waitrose had reduced very sweet teddy bears from a fiver to 29p last week and very nifty jigsaws again a fiver down to 50p

my present box is groaning with stuff. maybe boots would rather save their stock, it will be interesting next year if they have as much left over or if they manage to get their ordering right

Was in tonight just before closing and apart from Christmas cards there was very little left. Certainly not worth a trip to go just to Boots. May try Buchannan Galleries tomorrow as Sauchiehall Street is rubbish since they went to one floor.

i heard the same thing about the boots 75% sale asked a few sa,s who said there was deffo no sale this year because of the economy,but the stocks mysteriously have been replenished.......there is lots of items in store now that were not there even on boxing day....hmmmmmmmmm.

I popped into my local Boots today and everything was still 50%. They are going to have to do something a.s.a.p. There were about 8 rows of sale stuff (long rows with approx. 8 shelving units in each row). This time last year they had started putting the new stock out.
