Boots 75% sale NOT going ahead

I have been reading all these threads about Boots 75% sale, and although I never wanted any of the sale products before I now want a Gok set....Boots don't need to advertise on tv cause my will power was shot to pieces just reading this fourm....lol

Is it that bad? Actually, I went before Christmas and it was grubby and disgusting!

Spoke to local store manager and an SA today. They were told to change floor plan and stock shelves for Wednesday but did not get the go ahead for the 75% (obviously). Most of the sale stock for them is out on the shelves at the moment. They have been told that sales at 50% are going well overall and that IF there is to be a 75% this year it will be at extremely short notice.

I think we had already guessed that things were still selling with the amount of stuff that is vanishing from our favourites lists.

I have no reason to doubt my store manager as he has always been truthful and helpful in the past.

Our boiler has broken & we're on the second day of no heating or hot water, so I'm not washing either, just having a swipe with wet wipes - and NOT bought from Boots either!

(...fear not, we're going to my mum's for an old fashioned bath night if they don't fix it tomorrow!)

i asked at boots today and was to;d it had been cancelled but the assistant then said she wasnt allowed to say so think boots are keeping us in suspence:j

Why we NEED the 75% Boot sale.

Because their 3 for 2 offer means:

If we buy three items @ £6 each, 3 for 2 kicks in, making them cost £4 each. So then the 50% sale comes along and you can buy the same item at £3 which to us is not much of a saving (only a pound on this example) hence we NEED the 75% sale.

Following points you should perhaps be aware of:

• People need present. BUT people will take their cash for their stash elsewhere e.g. Bodyshop sale, ELC sale, Tescos Argos M&S etc and find they are a) at 70% already and b) cheaper to begin with c) have a bigger range left….therefore, all in all the public will discover much more appealing places to shop
• People will not be so willing to spend extra pennies on their toiletries in Boots anymore to build up their points through the year. They will go to POUNDLAND (where I went on my way home! BARGAINOUS!!!!!!)
• People will get a taste for money saving and find there are better bargains to be had elsewhere and never ever return. . . .
• All your gifts are HUGELY marked up and overpriced to begin with (a mug and some marshmallows for £8? Are you having a laugh? What world are you living in??)
• After your pretty PATHETIC offers of the week this year before Christmas WE ARE LOSING PATIENCE with you.
• We have precious little money, next to no loyalty and WE WILL SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!
• You have ruled the roost for too long and I for one am kicking myself for having parted with my cash down the years in your establishments

Go and count your stock levels now and wonder what in the world you are going to do with all of it……. Hope it makes you happy!!!!!!

Lol ! Too busy to be bothered Mr Boots with your sale/non sale drama....too busy tracking down other goodies from elsewhere for my present box...Debenhams/Asos/Bodyshop/M&S.:D (loved the Asos bits n bobs I've ordered the other day-for £12 !)
I posted earlier saying I refuse to buy the 50% stuff ( this is what joining the MSE gang does to you:rotfl: ) and sending me a free £2.50 advantage points coupon will not entice me to shop in your store...unless you give us some hardcore bargains;) x
