I wonder if he even knows what he's spent the money on.. we all know how easy it is to fritter away bits and pieces. Like Taxi says a spending diary might be in order - might shock him into seeing what he's wasting it on.
True Squizz..and i catch a lot of kids in my work. I should think i would be used to it by now..lol:rotfl::rotfl:

I agree about the pension and the mortgage as well, that one has been on my mind a lot lately too.
Yes i recognize behaviours, but also need to recognize my reaction to his behaviour and how i deal with it.
I think i have mentioned in the past that i do get a lot of external pressure from family to sort it out.
I hope comments on here don't come across as more pressure - thing is, your stance on things seems so logical, so you're getting lots of logical suggestions/questions (like mine) and blind spots like Mr B has are never logical
:o:o
I must admit that i did reply once with a Z'ism, re there's a job for you now, if i can't manage to do it then you can do it..what a relief. I hardly saw their backside for dust..:o:rotfl:
Tee hee :rotfl:
I also get a lot of support from DS and DD2 who are happy to tell it like it is. However, i don't want them too involved as this is between us.
You're dead right, I'm sure - but at least its positive feedback to you, without pressure.
I'm glad you slept well - it makes *such* a difference.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I welcome the feedback, simply because when we are close to the problem another point of view really does help.
I like to balance my options, and i *Totally* agree with you, he is one of my blindspots re finances. I think i am an example of opposites attracting each other.. i had one of those dreams a long while ago, you know the one where we waltz in and sort everything out, have babies and live happily ever after?
Hmm:cool::rotfl:
And no, neither you or any of the other wonderful posters on here- *don't* put me under any pressure. I feel relieved:kisses3::ABlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

You don't want contrition - you want action.boredofbeingathome wrote: »I think i have mentioned in the past that i do get a lot of external pressure from family to sort it out.

And they'll keep their gobs shut in future too - double win!boredofbeingathome wrote: »I also get a lot of support from DS and DD2 who are happy to tell it like it is. However, i don't want them too involved as this is between us.
It's not just between you both - they suffer too. It would be unfair to wheel them up as ammunition, but it would also be unfair to exclude them on the "Children should be seen and not heard" grounds. Good luck with that one...boredofbeingathome wrote: »I thoroughly agree Taxi, i am not always brilliant at keeping one myself.
