How do I know when to pick them?:o
Peas are absolutely my favourite vegetable.
I also have tomato flowers!:j
They will be flat at the moment. As the peas inside grow, they will swell and the pod will become rounded and hard to squeeze. That's when they are ready. You can also test one now and again by eating it raw (but not too many).

Hi MBE, I know you're quite keen on growing chillis so I was just wondering if you have any flowers on yours yet? I'm growing Jalapenos and Black pearl chillis and there's not much happening yet!0

 I've got flowers on my Wenk's Yellow Hot, Pretty in Purple, and I think they're just coming on the Lemon Drop.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Been really busy. Got a mate down from York helping me build stuff. All beds now edged, new compost bin built, bee log shelter built & fixed, greenhouse staging built, bench built in shed & shelving started.
Photos when I get chance, probably early next week.

Oh pooh!!! I was hoping I was just being impatient and they shouldn't be flowering yet!!
The blimming birds have been eating my strawbs, I haven't got sorted with netting yet
have taken to picking them slightly under ripe then finishing off on the windowsill as the birds don't go for them till they're ripe. 0
