Beans at the top. First one ready to be pinched out and second one already done.

That frame's about 4' high, right?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Ok - so I obviously need to pay someone to come and do it all for me. Who wants the job?

 West Yorkshire. Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield.

They do cracking curries in Bradford. If you live there I'll come and do it for food.

My tallest competition bean is about 55". One of my Uncle Sid's is about a foot taller than that though. What are you feeding them?

Never feed them until there are beans formed. But it does help to talk nicely to them..........;)

    DURING (Beginning of 2011 ish)

    STILL DURING (today)

It is a mess! lol. I am still digging over beds in the vegetable cage and i need a strimmer! The vegetable area and the back have been my main focus so far and the back is the kids play area. Eventually i have big plans but they are going to take a few years i estimate, to really get it to how i want. I am a single parent with 4 kids and a job so i get limited time and money to do it :)
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

Nowt to report from me today.

However, MrBE, the first year I did cucumbers I left them in pots. I thought they died, then they flowered. Tried rescuing them & got some very tasy but small fruit.

I'd strongly recommend planting them out. The slugs etc won't go for them as they're prickly now. The number of fruit you'll get, & also the size of the fruit will be markedly better imo.:)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
