    Hi all:j

Have been reading but lutcking on this thread, too ashamed to admit how far behind I am with anything growing related:o Especially seeing how great all your plants look:D

In my defence I have a big garden, DH not at all interested & having lots of animals doesn't help either. Have tried getting various 'gardeners' in to do some major work that I can't do but going to have to sack the latest lot:mad:

Ok have just gone down to cellar only to discover various bags/boxes containing seed potatoes (King Edwards) 2 x 8 spuds. They have been trying to grow - have long spindly roots? or top growth not too sure - but is it worth putting them in? I have a couple of large 'potato bags' - How many in each please & it is just compost or soil as well??

Also found red onions, garlic etc etc, all sprouting & some gone bad  yuck.

BTW Mr BE - I am between Hudds & Bradford - and in the next village is the biggest curry house in the UK (!!!) LOTS of curry round here LOL. Downside is half an acre of unmangeable garden:rotfl:
New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear

You're not too far from me then - I'm the other side of Halifax. We can moan about what Yorkshire weather is doing to our spuds together!

I am a single parent with 4 kids and a job so i get limited time and money to do it :)

I'm surprised you find time to do anything at all! :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I'd strongly recommend planting them out. The slugs etc won't go for them as they're prickly now. The number of fruit you'll get, & also the size of the fruit will be markedly better imo.:)

It'll have to stay in a pot, as I've no spare space. :o However, it is due for repotting into a large flower bucket. Someone said that they don't like being repotted into too big a pot, so I've been inching up the sizes very slowly.

I'd give it a go - nothing to lose really. I put three seed potatoes in the bags I use.

 from over the tops LOL. Yes we can indeed, although that depends on whether mine ever get planted. I also have 10 chilli plants abt 2 inches tall, umpteen toms ditto - all in pots in greenhouse/sunroom (hotter - as some panes are missing from said greenhouse). Call it ventilation:rotfl:I can't find anywhere selling the right clips for it.

OK I will try & plant them if I can figure out which end up they need to be. And also is it just compost or do I mix in some soil as well? More blonde questions to follow LOL.

YES it is indeed the Aarkash & you are welcome to come any time you like. But don't forget your gardening tools :rotfl:I have to say if you were to tackle this garden, you might not have the strength to get there though:eek:

Haha then you would be too full to do anything? TBH the food was not that great when I last went - there are better ones around - but the building is awesome:T
