I ordered some of these for my DS who is starting "big school" (reception) in September.
They have a little picture motif as well as the name.
I picked a little blue train.
Ordered on Thursday evening....arrived this morning (Sat).
Very good quality.
I've still got loads left of the ones I got for my boys when they started school (Cash's), don't think as teenagers they'd like having a train on them!
Actually the reason there are loads left is I gave up sewing them in and bought a pen.0 -
I use Ebay - seller called LABEL-MAKERS. Excellent value & they don't come off.0

Just the comment (I know this thread was bumped for spam) about boarding school laundry made me smile. I used to work in a boarding school as an assistant housemistress and as such we had to trust our clothes to the tender mercies of the school laundry girls as well.
It takes skill to shrink ONE leg of a pair of jeans... logically the second leg must have followed it into the same wash with the same washing conditions!
For those just starting and worried about shoes going on the right feet after PE and stuff - draw with a permament marker inside the sole of the shoe an arrow --> on one shoe <-- on the other and teach your child to put them on the floor arrow tips touching (or half a smiley face inside each shoe etc) and they'll end up on the right feet then - teachers try to make sure they go back on the right feet but with 30 kids there's usually someone still doing the Charlie Chaplin walk an hour or so later!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
