swept off my feet just yet as had a bit of a mare last year but i definitely need to get out there and meet some new folks. I made a good start on Tuesday night but need to do more!

nothing special required, own hair not essential although own teeth preferred. must like motorbikes and at least tolerate harps!

    What happened on Tuesday night?????

I have had a pants evening washing pants, and also writing a long boring email for work so no pursuance of dashing gents I'm afraid. Might just pop on the internet site in a sec and see if Mr. No.1 is there... Will be back in a mo to report x

  • Mr. No.1 isn't on there :-( but there's a Mr. No.2 and he is asking to meet for a drink. Will have to send/receive a few emails first to find out if he's cool. Now I've got to go to bed, got a 9 hour day then DD2 party runs/sleepover to contend with. Nite nite xx

I was super brave and went along to my local pub as the bike group meets in there on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. they were absolutely lovely and I will be going again. My social life is extremely minimal and one of my resolutions for this year was to address this! :)

This sounds good - doing things like this IS really brave but often pays off in the end :)

I am a girl and quite small with it hence the username :D I have 2 bikes, had a licence since I was 17, and am 32 now. got my bike licence long before my car licence! I haven't ridden in a while now but am determined to drag myself out soon. The weather hasn't helped but I have ridden all year round in the past so no excuse really! people with bikes are generally quite sociable so I shouldn't have put off the pub trip as long as I did!

It's not chicken at all. They do take a bit of nerve but I love mine. I know a bit but enough to know my limits and pass the spanners to someone else sooner rather than later :D but you don't have to know anything about them to ride them and enjoy them :)

I'll go back and read this thread properly but I have to say I find it very hard to initiate conversation... I do it all day long at work but it's expected of me... if I find a guy even a teeny bit cute then I just clam up.

I've tried many dating sites and get bored very easily, but don't give up hope.... I'm currently seeing a lovely guy who I met on one of those dodgy free ones and it's going really well (touch wood!).

ETA: I didn't even really want to meet this lovely guy, his photos didn't really interest me and I very nearly cancelled dinner at the last minute. I have never been so glad to have replied to someone! It has taken a good few years and more than several meet-ups to find one I actually like.

I honestly believe everything happens for a reason, however hard it is to believe at the time!! xx
