You seem to be in a similar situation as me. Gas currently with a different supplier & electric with SP.
I've got to the stage now that they wanted a gas meter reading (I actually supplied it a few days ago when the website asked, but now they've emailed me to ask for it to be completed - I got to the website and it says it's no longer needed. Left hand meet right hand ), but no progress on electricity it seemed. It's been just over a month now since I requested the tariff.
Was advised the electric will get transferred as soon as the gas goes live (which is all set for next week). Meanwhile I'm still paying them about 20% more than I need to for the electric"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Already mentioned on another thread but:
My deal had ended and I saw these posts last night, I just called them this afternoon and managed to get onto OES12.
The advisor told me it was withdrawn and they couldn't accept new customers so I told him "you better tell your web tearm then as it's still on the site and you've got nothing listed to replace it..." and then said "btw, if you can't give me this product I've done a comparison and I'd move to British Gas but I'd prefer to stay with you, can you check with your supervisor please?" the guy replied he'd ask someone else but didn't actually bother and put me straight on to the tariff. :j0 -

It seems they probably could do with another training session tomorrow then "Now to trolling as a concept. .... I experienced the 'long wait' times on Monday and eventually gave up. Called 8.03am on Tuesday and got straight through. Asked to be moved to OES12 and was done so. Operator said it will happen at the end of the month. Asked her to confirm the unit costs for Gas and electric (which matched the values on the Tariff PDF file) . Just waiting for postal confirmation0

A further update:
I was promised (in writing) that I would be on OES12 for gas as from yesterday and promised the same (verbally) for electric.
[Not sure why they took 5 weeks to transfer the electric - suppose they wanted to get the 20% premium I'm paying for those last few weeks ]
So I checked my online status:
They had the gas reading last week and appear to have done nothing about the electric.
So I called them - apparently both are now on OES12
When I called them, I was informed of an anticipated waiting time of between 9 and 12 minutes.
Although I was offered a call back, I didn't even ask (see earlier post) and the call was answered in just over 3 minutes! I wonder if they would have actually called back at that time, or would that have been between 9 and 12 minutes as advised?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... My fixed price online deal ends with scottish power at the end of the month and I have been trying in vain to speak to one of their advisors.
The wailting time is shocking, every time I phone it's almost an hour every time, they tell you to arrange a call back but never call back on time.
One numpty phoned my wife and tried to fob her off with some garbage deal as the OES12 has expired, she told him to phone me back at 5pm tommorow, I hope he has kevlar underwear on, as I'm going to give him a roasting, if that's thier idea of customer service, I will take the topcashback deal and switch to EON.
Shocking customer service all round. :mad:0 -

It wasn't the platinum tariff that your wife was offered by any chance? I was offered this yesterday (coming off Fixed Energy Feb 2011). Yes, ok you get boiler cover but apparently (from what I've read) the tariffs for gas and elec are fairly high. And, when I explained I had another 10 months or so to go on my boiler cover with BG, I was told, "well why not run the two policies at the same time"!
I'm interested to know what you go for. I might stick with SP and go on the OES13.. Then again, I am considering swapping all together - cashback tempts me!0 -
I was offered the platinum offer but when I told them I could go elsewhere and get much cheaper than that I was told to wait for OES13 - not sure whether to or not, but apparently it starts on Friday so I could wait until then....MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000
