Simple, folk coming down the hill have to go from 40 to 30... Braking is harder due to the hill and it takes longer than normal to get down to 30...

So I assume you have never sped? By all means, if I was going 40mph in a 30mph I would deserve to be spoken to badly, but I was going 35 in a 30, of which is half of the hill. Which then goes to 40mph. So for 10seconds, I was going over the speed limit, which the policeman didn't even know about.

They do actually do that. My mum works with someone who got caught going up the hill, then again on the way back down. :cool:

He obviously did, you said that your Fiesta would not go up the hill at a lower speed, when it obviously would.

So why did he tell you off you speeding in the first place?
