EON: Price increase announced.

Hi RHYSDAD,
SaveOnline 4 has now ended and Version 5 has been launched, as I posted above the unit costs include the increase.sho_me_da_money wrote: »I checked all sites this morning (before the BBC announcement) and EON Save Online V4 was coming up as the best for two properties. So I switched to EON Save Online V4 Duel Fuel for both properties.
I am checking now and the same sites are reporting that EDF Online Saver is cheaper for duel fuel.
Strangely, Save Online V4 does not even show up in the comparison list. Save Online V5 does - Any ideas what is going on here? Has EON V4 been replaced by V5?
Also, I note there is a cool off period of 7/14 days? As I switched over just this morning, can I cancel?
EON V4 is still showing up on Confused.com whereas all the other sites are showing EON V5. Here is a bunch of results from 4 sites showing the results for one of my properties. EDF and SP are the top two and EON V5 is in 4th/5th place. Figures are annual consumption in £££'s.
Hi sho_me_da_money,
As above SaveOnline 4 has been replaced with version 5, the comparison sites are currently being up dated with the new tariffs and information, but it may take a little more time.

Helena,
Am I allowed to cancel the switch over?
I only just initiated the switch this morning (ONLINE) so I know nothing has been processed so far. How do I go about in cancelling the switch over?
Thanks,0 -
shomedamoney,
do you know what the increased unit cost is for saveonline 4 yet? I think e.on give a 14 day cancellation period so it may be worth speaking to them tomorrow to confirm your actual prices and then take it from there.0 -

Hi sho_me_da_money,
Yes you can cancel your switch, if you just contact E.ON they will do this for you.

Thanks Guys,
I have cancelled via the customer services department for the switch websites I applied with.
Changed over to EDF Online Saver V8

Another brucey bonus is that I couldn't apply for any rewards signing up to EON V4 this morning using the MSE affiliate links.
I have now cancelled the EON V4/5 tariff with the Energy Helpline, and bagged a £15 credit going with EDF as well as cancelling the same tariff (and going with EDF for property #2) with USWITCH and bagging £40 worth of wine!!

Is that tariff fixed/capped in any way. If not I'd be expecting a price increase shortly after 1st March asthat's when their price freeze ends.0 -

Dang.
Nah not capped. Do you think, given the time they are looking to increase (March), that the rates may not go up as much as the rest?
I should've bloody gone with Scottish Power!
If they go up by say £60 in March, ill just pay the cancellation fee and change supplier DEPENDANT upon how much I can save by going with someone else.0 -
An inevitable increase, however their SaveOnline 2 tariff still works out cheaper than anybody else for me.0

I signed up to an EON fixedonline 9 rate until March 2012, Will this be honoured or will they chage me the new rates.0
